Lion Forest, one of the four famous gardens in Suzhou, has a history of more than 650 years. From the end of the Yuan Dynasty to the second year of Zheng Zheng (A.D. 1342), Wei Ze, a disciple of the famous monk Tian Ru Zen Master, "invested according to the rate and bought land to build a house to live in his teacher." Because "the forest is full of bamboo, and there are many strange stones under the bamboo, which are like lions"; In addition, Wei Zede studied dharma in Lion Mountain in Tianmu Mountain, Zhejiang Province. In order to commemorate the relationship between Buddhism and mentoring, he took the meaning of Leo in Buddhist scriptures, so he named it "Lion Forest" and "Lion Forest". Lion Forest not only has pavilions, terraces, buildings, pavilions, halls and corridors of Suzhou classical gardens, but also is famous for its grotesque caves and is known as the "rockery kingdom". Hanshan Temple Hanshan Temple is located not far from the southwest of Feng Shili Bridge outside Suzhou City. Facing the ancient canal to the east and west, Laolinguan Road now belongs to Qiao Feng Town, Jinchang District, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. According to legend, Hanshan Temple was built in Tian Jian, Liang Wudi (502-509 AD), and its starting date is unknown. The first name is "Miaoliping Mingta Courtyard". Lingering Garden is located outside Nagato, Suzhou. Originally the East Garden of Xu Taishi, the minister of Taibu Temple in Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty. "Xiyuan" saionji is located at Liuyuan Road outside Nagato, Suzhou. Built in the first year of Yuanhe, it was originally named Guiyuan Temple. During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1522- 1566), the old servant Xu Taishi built the East Garden (now called Liuyuan Garden), and at the same time changed Guiyuan Temple into a house garden and renamed it the West Garden. Later, his son Xu Shezhai became a temple. In the eighth year of Chongzhen in Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1635), the abbot Maolin changed his name to "Zhuang Jie Fa Hui" to promote "Fa Zong". During the reign of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty, Governor Luo Song rebuilt Canglang Pavilion, and inscribed it with the word Canglang Pavilion in the official script of Wen Zhiming in the Ming Dynasty. 1963, Canglang Pavilion was listed as a key cultural relics protection unit in Jiangsu Province. Canglang Pavilion, with an area of about 16.5 mu, is one of the large-scale classical gardens in Suzhou, which has the gardening style of Song Dynasty and is a model of freehand landscape gardens.
Mudu Mudu is a famous ancient town in the south of the Yangtze River. It is located in the west of Suzhou, on the bank of Taihu Lake, surrounded by mountains, and the famous Wuzhong mountains such as Lingyan, Tian Ping, Shishan, Qizi and Yao Feng are dangerous and green, forming a "natural cornucopia" with rich products and outstanding people. The history of Mudu can be traced back to the Spring and Autumn Period of Wuyue, with profound cultural accumulation and numerous places of interest. In addition to the beauty of mountains and rivers, there are beautiful bridges and flowing water, ancient houses and secluded alleys. The town is criss-crossed by rivers and connected by bridges and streets. Among them, Xujiang and Xiangxi are the relics of wuyue, and Shantang Old Street is the imperial road of Qianlong. The people in the town are facing the street or pillow river, with white walls and tiles, heavy ridges and high eaves, which is a typical water town. Deep houses in Guzhen District are adjacent, especially Yan Jia Garden, No.2 Mansion, Gusong Garden and other private gardens, among which Yan Jia Garden is a famous garden in the south of the Yangtze River. Mudu ancient town is built on the mountain and lives by the water. Its unique pattern is rare in many ancient towns in Jiangnan. Did Wang Ruyu's poems in Qing Dynasty reveal the charm of Mudu ancient town? Quot Mountain is the most secluded near Lingyan, and Xiangxi Scenic Area has a long history. "

Jiaotoe, the first town in China, has a civilization history of 2,500 years. Especially her 1300-year-old ancient culture, historical sites, ancient bridges and streets, ancient houses and ancient ginkgo trees are amazing. Why is it called corner straight here? According to Lifu Zhi, Jiaotoe was originally named Lifu, and it was named after Lifu Hall in the west of the town. Later, because there is a straight mouth in the east of the town, which connects six places, the shape of the water flow is as cool as the word "angle", so it was renamed "angle straight". It is also said that the ancient unicorn "corner end" patrolled the land of China at a right angle and found it to be a treasure trove of feng shui, so it stayed at a right angle for a long time. The river in the town is clear, the environment is elegant, and places of interest are all over the town. Historical landscapes such as duck marsh breeze, clear spring, Wusong snow wave, bell in the sea, floating picture of sunset, fishing lotus lamp dome, Xihui town, etc. It was summed up by our ancestors and has been demolished, but most of them can still be found.
Tongli, formerly known as "Futu", was changed to "Tongli" in the early Tang Dynasty because its name was too extravagant. Tongli is located at10km west of Zhouzhuang, and only18km away from Suzhou City. The ancient town is surrounded by water and embedded in Tongli, Jiuli, Yeze, Nanxing and Pangshan Lake. The building stands by the water and is known as "Little Venice of the East". The main features of Tongli are: more water and more bridges, more buildings in Ming and Qing Dynasties, and more celebrities and scholars. It is famous for its "small bridge with flowing water", and its main attractions can be summarized as "one garden", "two halls" and "three bridges". There are many houses in Tongli ancient town, which are not built along the river like Zhouzhuang, but give people a sense of space. The river here is relatively open and paved with bluestone slabs.
