Oh, radical. OH radical (OH) can be regarded as a neutral form in which hydroxyl (OH-) loses one electron, and it has a strong oxidation potential (oxidation potential is 2.8V), and it is an oxidant with oxidation ability second only to fluorine in nature (oxidation potential is 3.05V). OH plays an important role in sewage treatment, waste gas treatment, biomedicine and other fields. At the same time, OH is also an important oxidant in the atmosphere. In the natural environment, OH is mainly generated by the reaction between photolytic ozone in the atmosphere and water. Industrially, OH can be prepared by using peroxide decomposition or electrolytic oxidation.
