If you don't have an ID card to stay in a hotel, you can ask the police to issue a certificate and stay in a hotel with your ID card. You can click "Electronic ID" in the ID list of Alipay platform, fill in relevant information for face recognition and then apply for an electronic ID to stay in the hotel.

Article 6 China citizens who have reached the age of 16 shall go through the formalities of applying for resident identity cards at the household registration authority where their permanent residence is located.

Citizens who have reached the age of 16 shall apply for resident identity cards within 30 days from their birthdays.

Article 11 Where a citizen's permanent residence changes between the administrative areas of this Municipality and within the administrative area of this county, he/she may not renew his/her identity card.

Where a citizen's permanent residence moves out of the municipal area of this municipality and the administrative area of this county, he/she shall renew his/her identity card at the same time as registering his/her residence.

Twentieth citizens need to prove their identity when handling the following matters, they can show their identity cards:

(3) military service registration;
