(i) Secretariat

(10) Overseas Chinese Affairs Office

Responsible for the investigation of overseas Chinese, and carry out liaison and reception services between overseas Chinese and compatriots and associations in Hong Kong and Macao; To protect the lawful rights and interests of overseas Chinese in China jointly with relevant departments; Cooperate with China embassies and consulates abroad to do a good job in overseas Chinese and new immigrants; Cooperate with relevant departments to solve the problems related to Chinese education for overseas Chinese children in Xinjiang; Help returned overseas Chinese and their relatives inherit and repatriate overseas property according to law.

(12) Organize the personnel department

Responsible for the organization, personnel, family planning, going abroad (border), security and other work of organs and institutions directly under the guidance, and responsible for the training of overseas Chinese cadres in the autonomous region; Assist relevant departments to make personnel arrangements for representatives of returned overseas Chinese and their relatives; Responsible for the translation of foreign titles in the autonomous region.

The Xinjiang Frontier Defense Commission Office is responsible for implementing the guidelines, policies, laws and regulations of the state and the autonomous region on frontier defense work; Implement the work plan and arrangement of Xinjiang Frontier Defense Committee; Grasp the situation of border defense work in the autonomous region, carry out work research, and solve new situations and problems in border areas; To study and formulate border management measures and regulations; Responsible for the construction, maintenance and management of border infrastructure in the autonomous region.
