1. According to the Code for Fire Protection Design of High-rise Civil Buildings, smoke-proof staircases should be provided for Class I and Class II buildings with a building height exceeding 32m, except for modular and veranda houses. The setting of smoke-proof stairwells shall meet the following requirements:

Fire front room refers to the space between evacuation walkway and stairwell or fire elevator in high-rise building, which has the functions of fire prevention, smoke prevention, evacuation and pressure relief and convenient fire extinguishing. It is separated from the evacuation walkways and stairwells by Class B fire doors, and the space area is usually between 4.5- 10 square meters, and fire-fighting facilities such as fire hydrants need to be installed in the space.
