Steps and key points of carpet cleaning

1. Common carpet cleaning methods (this method is suitable for hotels, guesthouses and other places)

There are two common methods for cleaning hotel carpets: dry cleaning and wet cleaning. Dry cleaning method is suitable for pure wool carpet. Wet washing method is suitable for chemical fiber carpet. (Click to know: carpet types)

A. There are two ways to dry-clean carpets:

1. foam dry cleaning: it is the most common foam cleaning on carpet surface. The foam dry cleaning machine uses a rotating brush and an implanted wet vacuum suction head to spray a large amount of detergent on the fluff on the carpet surface. Detergent cleans the pile under the action of roller brush, and then uses vacuum cleaner to absorb washing foam and suspended dust.

2. Dry suction cleaning method: This method is to spray the mixture of solvent, emulsifier, water and detergent on the carpet surface manually or through a distribution container, brush the carpet pile with a washing device, perform rotary washing for 30 minutes, and then absorb the detergent and dust. Dry cleaning is a kind of surface cleaning, which can effectively clean the carpet surface, but it can't remove the dirt hidden in the carpet. Must be thoroughly cleaned.

B. wet washing

When the oil stains and other sticky substances in the carpet are obviously accumulated, and the dust and scale have affected the color and resilience of the carpet pile, and the dry cleaning method cannot be eradicated, the carpet should be wet washed, that is, thoroughly cleaned.

There are two ways to wet wash carpets:

1. Spray-suction cleaning method: This method is to spray hot water and detergent on the carpet under pressure, and under the action of water and detergent, use carpet cleaning equipment equipped with rotating or swinging brushes to separate dirt from fibers and suck them away.

2. Steam cleaning method: this is a carpet cleaning method, which has a very good effect on removing dirt embedded in carpet fluff and dirt on carpet surface, and the washing is the most thorough. Also known as extraction cleaning. The steam solvent composed of water and cleaning solution released by the special steam dry cleaning carpet machine is sprayed on the carpet, and then stirred by a mechanical swing brush to separate the dirt from the carpet fiber, suspend it in the solvent, and be removed by an implantable vacuum suction head.

Carpet cleaning equipment and procedures

1, wet washing

Tools for use: carpet cleaning machine, carpet water absorber, three-speed carpet dryer and other cleaning equipment and special chemicals such as high foam carpet cleaning agent, low foam carpet cleaning agent and carpet detergent.

General procedure:

A, completely vacuumizing B, partially decontaminating C, completely cleaning D, rinsing, disinfecting E, absorbing water and drying.

Step 2 dry clean

Tools: carpet dry cleaning machine, vacuum cleaner, carding machine and other professional tools and chemicals.

General procedure;

A, spreading dry cleaning powder B, treating local stains C, cleaning by dry cleaning machine D, vacuuming by vacuum cleaner E, and finishing carpet wool by carding machine.

Second, how to clean the carpet yourself

Many home users often ask questions. I don't want to ask the cleaning company to clean the carpet at home. How can I clean the carpet myself? There are two simple methods (1): mix 600g flour, 100g refined salt and 100g talcum powder with water, add 30ml white wine, heat the mixture to make a paste, cool it, cut the paste into small pieces, spread it on the carpet, and brush it once with a dry brush. (2) Sweep the broom soaked in soapy water. Salt can absorb dust and make carpets shine. Dust-laden carpets should be swept 1-2 times with a soaked broom and then salted. When sweeping the floor, the broom should be dipped in water from time to time.

Three, common carpet stains cleaning methods

After the carpet is stained, it should be removed in time, but there must be a correct way to remove the stain. Here are several ways to remove common stains on carpets:

Edible oil stains: remove with volatile solvents such as gasoline or carbon tetrachloride, and wash the residue with alcohol.

Soy sauce stains: New stains can be brushed with cold water and then washed with detergent. Old stains can be scrubbed with warm water, detergent and ammonia water, and then rinsed with clean water.

Oil stains on shoes: wipe with gasoline, turpentine or alcohol, and then wash with soap.

Urine stains: new stains can be washed with warm water or 10% ammonia water. Wash old stains with detergent first, then with ammonia water, and wash pure wool carpets with citric acid.

Fruit juice stains: Wash with 5% ammonia solution first, and then use detergent. But ammonia will destroy the fiber size of pure wool carpet, so use it as little as possible. Generally, it can be cleaned with citric acid or soap or alcohol.

Ice cream stains: wipe with gasoline.

Wine stains: New stains can be washed with water. Old stains need washing with water. Old stains can only be removed with aqueous solutions of ammonia and borax. If it is a wool or silk carpet, it can be cleaned with oxalic acid.

Coffee stains and tea stains: Wash them off with ammonia water. Silk and wool carpets are soaked in oxalic acid cleaner 10-20 minutes and then washed off, or washed with 10% glycerol solution.

Vomiting stains: one method is to wipe with gasoline first, then with 5% ammonia water, and finally wash with warm water. Another method is to wet the vomit with 10% ammonia water, then wipe it with soap with alcohol, and finally wash it with detergent.

There must be a correct wiping method to remove the above stains, so as not to damage the carpet and expand the scope of stains.

Therefore, when wiping the carpet, you should pay attention to the following points:

1. Wipe from the edge of the stain first, and gradually shrink to the center to prevent the stain from spreading outward.

2. Silk and wool carpets cannot be cleaned with ammonia or alkaline water.

3. Oxalic acid is poisonous. When using, it should be diluted with warm water, and concentrated acid is easy to damage fibers.

4. When wiping, do not use too much force, otherwise it will damage the fiber tissue and surface.

5. Potassium permanganate is a strong oxidant, which will destroy the color of carpet, so use it with caution.

6. Turpentine, gasoline, etc. It is flammable, so it is used by the fire.

7. Alcohol cannot be used for glass fiber.

Fourth, daily cleaning methods

1. Daily use of brush suction method. Roller brush can not only comb the carpet, but also brush up floating dust and dirt. Therefore, the cleaning effect is better than simply vacuuming.

2. Remove stains in time. New stains are the easiest to remove and must be removed in time. If the stain dries or goes deep into the carpet, it will cause long-term damage to the carpet.

3. Regular mid-term cleaning. Carpets with frequent pedestrians need to be equipped with foaming machines, and dry foam cleaning should be carried out regularly in the middle period to remove sticky dust and dirt.

4. Deep cleaning. Once the dust is deposited in the depth of carpet fibers, you have to send it to the cleaning shop for cleaning.
