The Historical Evolution of Jingjiang Town

Jingjiang Town is named after Jingjiang Hall. This place was located on the Qiantang River in ancient times and was often attacked by river tides. In order to seek peace and pray for the blessing of God Jiang, the local people built a temple called Jingjiang Hall during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty (1736 ~ 1795). There is also the "Nansha No.1" Wannian Taiwan. In the early days of the People's Republic of China, the towns were Qian Shan Township and Jingjiang Township, 1956 was merged into Jingjiang Township,196/kloc-0 was merged into Jingjiang and Shengli Administrative Districts of Guali Commune, and 1969 was merged into Jingjiang Commune. 1984, commune changed to township. 1986, set up a township. 1May, 992, Ganlu Township was merged into Jingjiang Town.
