Zhongwei B&B Accommodation Recommendations-Accommodation Prices

Have you decided where to go during the summer vacation? If you haven't thought about it, the editor would recommend going to Zhongwei. I won't introduce the scenery here. I mainly introduce the accommodation here. The accommodation here is a B&B, but it is really worth it.

It’s summer now, and air tickets are expensive everywhere. But Zhongwei’s air tickets are actually always cheap, 299 one-way (occasionally 199), 558 round-trip, and there are direct flights to Shanghai, Beijing, Chongqing, Xi’an, and Yinchuan.

As far as the summer vacation is concerned, this price-performance ratio is very good, especially compared with the air ticket to Sanya, it is simply a reasonable price.

But having said that, this summer is really different from the past. As far as Hangzhou is concerned, in addition to the expensive air tickets to Sanya and Lijiang.

Flying to travel destinations such as Chengdu, Chongqing, Kunming, Xiamen, and Xi'an is super cheap.

There are not many good hotels in Zhongwei. To be precise, the hotels in Zhongwei are divided into high-end (¥800) and low-end (¥300-) hotels.

I simply sorted out a map of Zhongwei. Good hotels worth staying in Zhongwei are either in the desert (Desert Stars) or by the Yellow River (Yellow River Suji). It's quite far from the city. Desert Stars

It was my first time living in the desert, and I had some troubles in the past. You need to go to the entrance of Shapotou Scenic Area first, go through the formalities for entering the scenic area, and then be picked up by the other party's off-road vehicle.

The Shapotou Scenic Area is very large. After entering the scenic area, it takes about 15-20 minutes to drive to the hotel deep in the desert.

But once you arrive, you will feel that it is all worth it.

The hotel uses the sky as its curtain and the earth as its seat. You can enjoy the vast Gobi desert during the day, and the stars in the sky at night; there is a desert of different shades at noon, and the sunset is a spectacular afterglow...

These have become the characteristics of this Desert Star Hotel background. Except for the fact that the room is not too big, everything else about this hotel is good. It has an independent bathroom with separate wet and dry bathrooms, and tatami mats.

There are sand-skiing tools for mythical beasts at the door of each room. In the evening, the mythical beasts start to come out to play. This hotel also has many mythical animals, maybe because it was July-August when I checked in.

It is said that the latest episode of "Wife's Romantic Travel" was also recorded here and will be released soon.

There is not much to eat in the desert, so the hotel’s 618 package package includes a buffet hotpot for two people. It's not delicious, but it's solid enough and the ingredients are good.

If you want something nicer (romantic), there is also a la carte set, the kind you eat in the desert. It is indeed very satisfying and suitable for taking pictures, but when the wind blows, your mouth may be filled with sand.

Evening is the highlight of Desert Star Hotel. Although this hotel is located in a desert, it is actually 1,430m above sea level and has more than 300 days of sunny weather throughout the year, making it suitable for stargazing.

This hotel also has a small drawback. It is not completely built yet, and there is an area next to it that is still under construction. But the distance is quite far, and it is almost impossible to disturb.

I estimate that everything will be completed by the end of September. The number of rooms in that area is much greater.

The Desert Star Hotel relies on the Shapotou Scenic Area, which is considered the core scenic spot in Zhongwei.

Here you can enjoy the Yellow River (transparent bridge, rafting, horizontal cable crossing) and the desert (surfing, go-karts, camels, etc.). It is recommended to stay for at least 2 days.

Don’t think about the summer vacation. All rooms are fully booked and it is said that they are already booked until the end of August. September and October are still promising, especially after the second phase of their hotel opens at the end of September, there will be a lot of extra rooms. Huanghe Suji

Huanghe Suji consists of five B&Bs, which are also hotels and destinations.

There is the Great Wall and the Yellow River here, and the Jiuqu Yellow River happens to make a 270-degree bend in the village of Suji on the Yellow River. The location is really unique.

Although Yellow River Suji is across the Yellow River from Shapotou, it is theoretically possible to walk there through the 3D glass bridge on the Yellow River, but if you want to drive, it will take at least an hour to make the detour. road.

There used to be a pontoon bridge on the Yellow River that could be opened to traffic, but later the pontoon bridge was demolished due to rising water levels, so now it can only be detoured.

So theoretically speaking, 1 night at the Yellow River Suji and 1 night at the Desert Stars in Shapotou is not a good choice. The journey is too tortuous and requires at least 2+2.

There are 5 B&Bs in Yellow River Suji, namely Feiziji, Xipo, Da Lezhiye, Nan'an and Xuli. The smallest one has 4 rooms (Feiziji) and the largest one has 15 rooms (Da Le Ye Ye).

These five B&Bs all have only rooms and no restaurants. The restaurants are the guest restaurants of the public Yellow River Inn (including breakfast).

After sorting out the characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of these B&Bs, it will be easier for everyone to choose. Feijiji

Feiji is the most unique hotel in the Yellow River Suji. It doesn't even look like a hotel in the northwest. When the pear blossoms bloom from March to April every year, this hotel is simply beautiful.

Fei_Ji lets you live in a glass house in the woods, separated from the Yellow River by only a reed field.

It can be said to be the most "maverick" existence in the entire Suji. The house is a transparent glass house on three sides. It is a B&B that you will fall in love with just one look at it. Moreover, Feiziji is the most design-conscious among the five B&Bs in Suji, Huanghe River. It is also the only non-rammed earth building in Suji.

The interior design of Feiziji is also very distinctive, using large glass windows. The room is mainly divided into 3 areas.

"Sitting" is the living room, a place where you can read books or watch TV in a daze.

The "standing" area is the bathroom and toilet, with oversized glass.

"Lying" is naturally the bedroom, and there is also a bathtub in the bedroom for you to lie down.

Is there any problem with Feizi Ji? Yes, there is.

First of all, this B&B only has 4 rooms. It is normal that 4 rooms cannot be booked often. And because there are only 4 rooms, there won’t be many facilities for you. After walking around this hotel, there is a small tent outside the room, where you can have afternoon tea.

There seems to be no other public area facilities.

Fortunately, the entire Yellow River Suji is a public area, which makes up for the shortcomings to some extent. South Shore

The biggest advantage of South Shore is the swimming pool. Many B&Bs in Huanghesuji do not have swimming pools, and even if they do have a swimming pool, it is very small (on the west slope).

But there are three swimming pools on the south bank, and they are all high-looking ones.

Nan'an is considered to be the most cost-effective among these three B&Bs. Which one is the least famous? This B&B is opened by the owner of Huanghe Suji and uses his own new brand. It's a bit weaker than the brands from Xipo, Feiziji, and Dalezhiye, but the quality is really not bad.

I like the public area on the south bank very much, it feels like I am in Morocco. The public area of ??this hotel is probably the largest among the five B&Bs in Huanghesuji. After all, it is the owner's father, and the entire land belongs to their family. Xipo

Xipo is a chain, including Moganshan and Qiandao Lake. It is often difficult to find a room on weekends.

The western slope of Zhongwei will have a rough and wild feeling of the northwest, like restoring a warm and unfamiliar village.

There are many fruit trees in Xipo’s yard, so their fruits are all grown in their own yard. It also has its own bakery, and the pastries are naturally baked fresh.

This is a big highlight, and because of this, Xipo’s afternoon tea is the best among the five B&Bs.

After all, Huanghe Suji is a place where one family can eat. If you want to save some money, the fruits and pastries provided by Xipo can be considered as a meal.

You can walk directly to the Yellow River on the west slope. You can also have dinner directly by the Yellow River (an additional fee is charged, and there is only one table per day). This is also a major feature of Xipo. Dalezhiye

Dalezhiye is also a chain of B&Bs with many stores in the Yangtze River Delta. This one on the west slope is probably the first time they have opened a B&B outside the Yangtze River Delta.

Da Le Zhi Ye has a relatively good sense of design. The clear-layered courtyard, the large living room, those floor-to-ceiling glass windows, sofas, chairs, and fireplaces all create a comfortable environment.

Including the rooms, the one in Lezhiye is considered to be the best among all the B&Bs in Yellow River Suji. Of course, the disadvantage is that their rooms (basic rooms) are the smallest in size.

Dale has his own cafe in the B&B - LostCafe. It is a cafe during the day and a bar at night, and also sells cultural and creative products.

This is the only cafe in the entire park, so people staying in other B&Bs will also come here to stay. It can be regarded as the most popular existence in the entire Yellow River Suji. Xuli

Xuli is different from other B&Bs in that it provides guests with a whole building. So if you are traveling with two people in Zhongwei, Xuli is probably not suitable for you; but if you are traveling with a large family, the only B&B in Zhongwei that is suitable for you is Xuli.

Every house in the market has a large kitchen and a large living room. It is also the only one among the five B&Bs in Huanghesuji that has its own kitchen. You can buy a bunch of food in advance and cook for a big table.

Each building will have 2-4 rooms, which can accommodate 5-8 people, and a large yard. If calculated per person, their price/performance ratio is the highest.

Okay, that’s all Zhongwei is worth staying at. Other hotels in Zhongwei are basically in the urban area, the price is 300-, and they don't have any brands.

It is recommended that you go after the summer vacation. After the summer vacation, the price/performance ratio of these hotels will be much higher. Especially for Desert Star, once the second phase is completed, there will be dozens more rooms in an instant.
