I've been to Baiyangdian four times, but before I started writing, I hesitated again and again, but I didn't make it. Baiyangdian Lake is the largest natural freshwater lake in northern China, covering an area of 366 square kilometers. It's too big. You really need a guidebook to Baiyangdian.

Our hotel is close to Baiyangdian Lake, and we are going to run in the lake tomorrow morning after our busy evening. At 6 o'clock in the morning, my companion was still sleeping, and I got up. I asked the receptionist, and she told me that the hotel is only two kilometers away from Baiyangdian, so just turn left when you go out.

The air is good in the morning, and there are people jogging on the way to the scenic spot in the morning. Soon I arrived at Baiyangdian, and I ran along the lake. Because the route was unfamiliar, I ran down a path, with the goal of getting closer and closer to Dian and feeling her elegance. The path winds to a body of water, and the roadside is full of fishermen's houses and moored ships. This is a downhill road. If you run past it, you will enter the lake. But after a few steps, I suddenly found that the fisherman was guarded by the big dog. They lay quietly, looking calm and used to the world.

Forget it, turn back to the levee and there are people running in twos and threes. Oh, this is the right running route. Dense elms are planted on the bank. This is the time when the trees are full of money. I asked my hometown while running. How old is this elm tree? The fellow villager replied, at least 70 or 80 years. Running through a section of cement road, the front is asphalt road, and the high Yang Shulin on the roadside closely guards the embankment. This is the standard road surface. At this time, the sentence in the novel by writer Sun Li appeared in my mind, "Crossing the plain and crossing the levee is the Baiyangdian water town."

This run is simply fantastic. Standing on the bank, one side is the great plain where the hotel is located, and the other side is the endless Baiyangdian water surface. Finally touched a little beauty of Baiyangdian. Looking around, the newly-built wooden trestle connected with the dike goes straight to the lake, and many tourists take pictures on the trestle. Get off the embankment and get on the bridge. The wooden trestle is too lifting. The trestle spans about two kilometers and runs on the bridge, just like flying on the lake. There are quiet and wide water surfaces on both sides, and there are large areas of gray reed stubble in the water.

"The riverside is as green as blue", because the lake is deep and the light is bright and dark, "the water in Baiyangdian is black and green."

This is certainly not a sentence that I can write, but a classic description in Sun Li's novels. At first glance, the water in Baiyangdian Lake is such a deep and clear color.

Every time I go, I pay tribute to Sun Li.

The first time I went to Baiyangdian was twenty years ago. At that time, the unit organized a youth spring outing, and we came to Baiyangdian. It's been so long that I can't remember the details of my visit at that time. To be sure, we went to Li Dian by boat, had lunch together, and had a whole fish feast in Anxin County, that is, a table full of fish, big fish and small fish, all kinds of fish. At that time, I was young, went out to play, liked excitement, and was tired of playing, as long as there was something delicious.

In fact, I don't understand the implicit beauty of Baiyangdian. Even if I went to Baiyangdian twice later, I went to run Xiong 'an Marathon. The starting point of Xiong 'an Marathon is Baiyangdian Station, running along a Baiyangdian Avenue. In the first year, there was still a route to Li Dian, and in the second year, a new citizen service center was added. The whole route just passes by the edge of Baiyangdian Lake.

However, horse racing is very urgent and time is tight. How can we have time to go shopping?

Fortunately, every time I go to Baiyangdian, I have a sincere heart. Pay tribute to Sun Li every time you go to Baiyangdian. Sun Li is my favorite writer of modern literature, and I will never get tired of reading his novels. So every time I go to Baiyangdian, I may just catch a glimpse of a piece of light and shadow, or see a cloud and feel glad that you have come.

Unfortunately, I didn't really walk into Baiyangdian after all. It was not until I reread Sun Li's collection of short stories "Chronicle of Baiyangdian" that I suddenly realized that the most beautiful Baiyangdian was in this novel. He has set up many eternal artistic conceptions: water town, lotus arrow, reed, levee ... each one is worthy of appreciation and really belongs to the unique Lotus Lake in Sun Li. The Chronicle of Baiyangdian is the best travel guide of Baiyangdian.

Sun Li wrote Baiyangdian beautifully, which is his best novel. Objectively speaking, 366 square kilometers, Baiyangdian is so big that you can't catch its beauty at all. Novelists' works are all classics, so you can take a book to appreciate the beauty of the Great Lakes. To some extent, it's a bit like traveling to Walden Lake and preparing a copy of Thoreau's Walden Lake. I miss Jizhong very much. It is conceivable that Baiyangdian water town is such a beautiful place. If you go to Baiyangdian again, you can really take a "Baiyangdian Chronicle" as a travel guide.

Relive the winding waterways and reeds.

Sometimes, for travel, the value of a writer's words is so super powerful. Spring, summer, autumn and winter, no matter what season comes, there are scenery to enjoy. This is because I have a guidebook in my hand.

In fact, many times we travel to a place, even many times because of fate, and we don't know how beautiful it is. This kind of clumsy travel often happens. Sometimes, you can't understand why you have been to a place many times and are still unfamiliar. The only way is to visit again.

About to leave Baiyangdian, local friends said, come back in summer, when the lotus flowers are all in bloom. All right, I'll see you in the summer. I want to relive the winding waterways and reeds. I want to see the pink lotus arrow sticking out high.

The origin of Baiyangdian's name

The earliest recorded name of "Baiyangdian" is "Zuze", and there are big and small lakes in Water Mirror Notes, that is, big and small lakes. The Western Jin Dynasty was called Digging Carp Lake, the Northern Wei Dynasty was called Xidian, and the Northern Song Dynasty and Ming Jiajing were called Xitang. The name "Baiyangdian" appeared, which was called Rongcheng in history. In the Qing Dynasty, it was collectively called Xidian. Because the area of Baiyangdian ranks first among all lakes, it is now called Baiyangdian. It is formed by collecting water from the fan-edge depression at the intersection of Yongding River and Hutuo River alluvial fan in front of Taihang Mountain.

In 2007, Baiyangdian Scenic Spot in Anxin County of Baoding City was officially approved by the National Tourism Administration as a national 5A-level tourist attraction.
