What is all-optical ap?

Optical network AP, also known as all-optical AP, is a new LAN networking mode, which uses optical network technology to cover and transmit wireless signals. Compared with the traditional Ethernet scheme, the optical network AP has fewer maintenance nodes, simpler two-layer network structure and smoother upgrade and transition ability.

Optical network AP realizes all-optical network coverage and transmission through optical network convergence switch, optical AP, optical access switch, optical splitter module, passive optical splitter and other products. Among them, optical AP(ONU) is an optical network unit, which provides services such as data, IPTV (Interactive Network Television) and voice, and is equivalent to a modem of a telecommunication network.

The optical network AP supports the IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/acwave1/acwave2 protocol, and can work in two frequency bands of 2.4GHz and 5GHz. The whole machine provides an access rate of 1 167Mbps, so that performance is no longer a bottleneck. Thanks to the design of optical network AP multi-service integration, in the hotel scene, one optical fiber is used to carry the access requirements of wireless network, wired network, guest control, IPTV TV and telephone, which not only reduces the consumption of traditional network cable, but also saves a lot of manpower wiring costs.

Optical network AP has the function of intelligent network optimization (WIO), which can automatically optimize the network with one click, and solve the problems of slow network speed and weak signal caused by poor debugging. Support intelligent roaming, one connection, always online, mobile terminal quickly switches to the best signal point, and never loses contact online.
