Nine administrative divisions in ancient China
Jingzhou (occupying Nanyang, Nanjun, Jiangxia, Lingling, Guiyang, Changsha, Wuling and Zhang Ling, ruling Xiangyang; In today's two lakes, Guangdong and Guangxi, Henan and Guizhou)
Yanzhou (now southeast of Hebei Province, northwest of Shandong Province and northeast of Henan Province)
Yongzhou (now north-central Shaanxi, except southeast Gansu, southeast Qinghai and Ningxia)
Qingzhou (east to the sea, west to Mount Tai, in the east of Shandong today)
Jizhou (now the western and northern parts of Shanxi Province and Hebei Province, and a part of Henan Province south of Taihang Mountain)
Xuzhou (now southeast of Shandong Province and north of Jiangsu Province)
Yuzhou (now most of Henan Province, with both western Shandong Province and northern Anhui Province)
Yangzhou (from Huaishui in the north, to the seaside in the southeast, to the south of Huaishui in Jiangsu and Anhui provinces, and to Zhejiang and Jiangxi provinces)
Liangzhou (from Huashan Sun to Heishui, it should include the present southwestern Shaanxi and Sichuan Province, or some places south of Sichuan Province)
