Anhui Engineering University is a provincial multi-disciplinary institution of higher learning and a key construction institution in Anhui Province. The school is located in Wuhu, a national open city. It started at 1935 Anhui Private Inner Division Higher Vocational School, and went through Wuhu Motor Manufacturing School (formerly under the Ministry of Machinery Industry), Wuhu Machinery School, Anhui Electromechanical Vocational and Technical College, Anhui Institute of Engineering and Technology and other stages.
