Liang Sizhong, the third son of Liang Qichao (1907- 1932), was born in Japan on 1907. After graduating from Tsinghua in his early years, he went to study in the United States, and successively studied at Virginia Military Academy and West Point Military Academy.

Of all Liang Qichao's children studying abroad, Liang Sizhong has the highest political enthusiasm. At the beginning of 1927, Liang Sizhong wanted to stop studying and return to China to participate in the Northern Expedition, but his father dissuaded him. In the early 1930s, Liang Sizhong graduated and returned to China to join the National Revolutionary Army.

After enlisting, Liang Sizhong was quickly promoted to the position of artillery colonel of the 19th Route Army of the National Revolutionary Army with his overseas study experience and outstanding talents.
