When is the best time to visit Tongling Grand Canyon?

The best time for Tongling Grand Canyon: April to June, and165438+1October to 65438+February are the best tourist seasons.

Located in Xinling Village, Hurun Town, 32km southeast of Jingxi County, at the southern end of Gulongshan Water Source Forest Nature Reserve, it consists of Nianba Gorge, Tongling Gorge, Gulao Gorge, Xinling Gorge and Xinqiao Gorge, with a total length of10km. Nianba River descends slowly from Gulong Mountain Range, passes through five canyons in turn and flows into Huruntai. In each canyon, there are rare natural and cultural landscapes such as ultra-high waterfalls, cave waterfalls, underground rivers, canyon streams, cave wonders, ancient stone barriers, ancient hanging burials and primitive vegetation.

Tongling Gorge was developed by Ling Shuming, Huang, Hailong Qin and Zeng Dequan of Jingxi Chamber of Commerce in April 1998. Located at the southern end of the Grand Canyon, it is a rectangular closed canyon, about 1000 meters long, more than 200 meters wide and 300 meters deep, which is as long, narrow and deep as the earth suddenly cracks a crack. The canyon is densely covered with primitive ancient trees, surrounded by knife-like cliffs and swaying trees. Full of green Valley, the stream gurgling, the whole canyon filled with refreshing aura. There are more than 2000 kinds of plants here, many of which are rare plants under special state protection. There are Alsophila spinulosa, Guanyin lotus fern and rare plants such as Jinmei, Alnus cremastogyne, Runnan, Aralia pinnata, and Flaming Tree, which appeared in the Jurassic period (/kloc-0.8 billion years ago) and grew with dinosaurs. Professor Wang and Professor Zhang Xianchun, researchers of Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, made an authoritative evaluation after the inspection: this is the place with the largest variety of plants except Xishuangbanna. According to the research of geographers, this canyon turned out to be a blind valley. Due to the influence of geological movement, the top of the blind valley collapsed, forming a large skylight. The cliffs on both sides of the canyon still retain the unique arches of the blind valley, and stalactites with different postures are hung on the arched cliffs.

The path into the canyon passes through the old vines that cover the sun, just like a green tunnel leading to the center of the earth. About 300 meters down, there is an ancient stone foundation, facing the cliff and blocking the way, but there is a hole in it. After entering the cave, it turned out to be a spacious cave, with a height of 100m and a width of 60m. The deep water at the bottom of the cave gurgles, and the sky at the top of the cave shines. The cave walls and ceiling are covered with all kinds of stalactites with strange shapes. From the Z-shaped ladder to the bottom of the cave, it is a primeval forest that covers the sky. Walking through a long section of old vines and flowing bridges, Tongling Ultra-high Waterfall is in front of you, with a height of168m and a width of 30m. It is the highest waterfall found in southwest China at present. The waterfall hanging high is like a huge white horse flying down, making a thunderous noise, floating out of the sky with white fog and sunshine, showing a beautiful rainbow. The cliff on the left side of the waterfall is an ancient hanging coffin burial place. The waterfall falls in a deep pool about 50 meters wide, which brings together canyon streams and caves to form a huge underground river, which flows to another canyon and becomes a new waterfall. There are four huge caves at the entrance of the underground river. These caves are deep and tortuous. When climbing about 30 meters up the stone wall ladder, an undercurrent in the cave came face to face, along the stone wall, forming a multi-layer waterfall, clear and transparent. At the top of the cave above the first waterfall, there are huge stalactites of different shapes, especially the pastoral scenery created by limestone, which is unique and amazing.

The whole canyon is majestic, steep, secluded, strange, unique and beautiful. Guan Shanyue, a famous painter, wrote happily after his visit: Tongling Treasure Cave, a deep spring in the canyon.

2. Accommodation: You can live in Jingxi County. There are hotels and restaurants in the county, but most of them are located on the roadside. It is too noisy and affects sleep. But there are some small hotels in Jingxi, which are quiet and the accommodation conditions are not bad. At the end of the alley opposite Jingxi Hotel, there is a Taohuaxi Hotel. The price of a single room is 30 yuan/night, the sanitary conditions are good, and the room is large, with separate bathroom, TV and electric fan. The biggest advantage is quiet, because the hotel is at the end of the alley, behind which is Taohuaxi. There is no sound of traffic here, only the sound of flowing water, which makes people feel very comfortable.
