Go up the mountain from the north gate and take the Qianlong Imperial Road. It is said that this is the road that the Qianlong Six Mountains Dome took. The road up the mountain is easy to walk. You can have something to eat and rest in front of Shangzhen Temple. Walking up to the top of Wanghu Garden, you can have a panoramic view of Taihu Lake. It is more fun than the south gate.

The road down the mountain to the south gate is undeveloped and difficult to walk. It would be much better to have hiking poles at this time. I grabbed the bamboos on both sides and walked down. On the way, I visited the place where Sun Wu wrote the Art of War. Then we walked all the way to the south gate and drove back. If you are bringing children, you can enter through the south gate.
