Is there an essential difference between a bar and a hotel?

Hotel standard answer:

Bar: A place that provides guests with a drinking environment and provides services such as drinks, snacks, singing, playing games and dancing. Business hours are generally 17: 00-24: 00 in the afternoon and are closed.

Hotel: provides places for guests to eat, live, entertain, have fun, buy and travel. Providing diversified services is equivalent to guests' life in a foreign land, so the hotel advocates a service slogan: to create a feeling of being at home.

The relationship between bars and hotels is not as good as that of big hotels. There may be a bar in the hotel, but there is absolutely no hotel in the bar.
