Where is Wangcheng Park?

Wangcheng Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Wangcheng Park is named after being located at the corner of the ruins of Wangcheng in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, covering an area of 39.77 hectares. Luoyang Wangcheng Park is located in the ruins of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty Wangcheng, north of Zhongzhou Road in Luoyang City and west of Luoyang Museum. It is the only ruins park in China, the largest comprehensive park in Luoyang City and the largest comprehensive park in Henan Province, which is connected by an imitation jade arch bridge.

The functional areas in the park include entertainment area, peony viewing area, historical and cultural area, animal display area and management area. Among them, 568 early, middle and late flowering varieties, such as Luoyang Peony, Purple Peony and International Peony, are gathered in the peony viewing area. There are nearly 100 species and thousands of species of birds and beasts in the animal exhibition area, such as Northeast Tiger, South China Tiger, African lion, ostrich and other rare protected animals. There are self-controlled planes, elevated ropeways, crazy mice and other amusement facilities in the entertainment area, which make tourists linger. Zhou Wenhua District is located in the west of the park, including Jishengzhu, Shaoletai, Suzaku, Eastern Zhou Historical Story Wall, Hetuluo Monument, Rooted Heluo Monument, Peony Poetry Gallery, etc., which embodies the characteristics of the historical and cultural city of Luoyang.

Precious tree species such as Cedar, Ginkgo biloba, Platycladus orientalis, Longbai, and Pentagonal Maple have grown into excellent landscape trees. There are 52 species of trees, 62 species of shrubs, rose garden 120 square meters, flower garden 6 100 square meters and 437360 plants in the park.

The main garden landscapes include fairy peony, peony altar, Wuhou flower viewing, Zodiac sculpture, Jiuding Zhaobi, Hetaoluo calligraphy tablet, Tianchengque, Sanlitu, Jishengzhu and story wall. The main landscape buildings include the main entrance, the west gate, the Peony Pavilion, the Peony Poetry Gallery, the Hufeng Tea Room, the Shaole Terrace, the Xiongchi, the Lion Tiger Mountain, the Peacock Garden, the animal performance and flower exhibition room, etc.

Wangcheng Park is the most important place to visit the annual Luoyang Peony Fair. There are more than a thousand kinds of flowers and trees in Wangcheng Park. The unique shape, pleasant scenery and good service of the park have attracted millions of Chinese and foreign tourists.
