Looking for "family"

? I heard that Shiji Village in Huangpu, Guangzhou is a settlement of "water nomads"-"Yi family", so I set out from here early in the morning with curiosity about the "Yi family" who makes a living by fishing and takes boats as their home.

? When I lived in Sanya, Hainan for a short time, I once met the Yi people who lived on the boat. Each of their families lives in a boathouse. Washing clothes, cooking, watching TV, eating and drinking Lazar didn't delay anything. Some of us on land also have everything on board. In China, their families are mainly distributed in the coastal areas of Guangdong, Guangxi and Fujian. They live on the water, wander around and have no fixed place to live; "Live by the water", and sail where there are fish. I can't help but think of the Mongols' "living on aquatic plants", one in the water and the other on the grassland. How similar the natural and original life is!

? Until the 1950s, the banks of the Pearl River in Guangzhou were still full of boats, and its spectacular lineup was a scene of Guangzhou. Today, I asked about the "Yi family" in Shiji village, and now young people don't know what it is. Because since the 1960s, family members of the Yi people in Guangzhou began to settle ashore one after another, and gradually merged with the people on the shore.

? Today's Shiji Village, the "family" who have lived on the boat for generations, have now moved into the building; Occasionally, some people continue to make a living by fishing, but most people have switched to other industries.

The picture below shows the villagers' house in Shiji Village. Outside the building, you can also see the pillars of the former Diaojiao Building.

? There are fresh fish and crabs just caught in the small fish market on the shore.

? Cantonese cuisine at home is delicious: steamed white dove fish, steamed golden drum fish, mustard fried bacon, roasted bacon and wax gourd, stir-fried mackerel, horse mung bean stuffed with large intestine, pomelo peel, stewed fish sausage and hoof cake, ginger, milk, boat porridge, egg powder and so on. Pay attention to "don't eat from time to time, don't eat fresh", that is, eat in season, don't eat stale. When a family eats fish, it is absolutely forbidden to turn the fish over until all the fish on both sides are finished, and don't put the spoon back up; Because of superstition, I am afraid of capsizing. Nowadays, many taboos of the Jia family have been integrated into the life of Cantonese and even China people, and they have been accepted and recognized by everyone.

? In old China, where girl's foot binding was beautiful, girls kept their feet full and did not wear shoes and socks. Because there is no constraint of shoes, toes can stretch naturally. And because of working on the boat all the year round, the girls are all strong, well-proportioned and full of energy. Married women in Tianzu are often praised by foreigners doing business in China as "the most beautiful women in China" because they are "well-proportioned and beautiful, and their feet are in a natural state without deformation".

? The picture below shows a strong and beautiful prostitute.

? Nowadays, the Yi family living in Guangzhou has become history, and their footprints may still exist in Cambodia, China, Hainan, Guangxi and other countries and regions. Fortunately, as a "water nomad", Yi culture has become a part of Guangdong culture, which can be preserved and passed down.

? Now, Chang Di West Road, Wanqingsha Town, Nansha District, Guangzhou is building a Tujia cultural corridor. After the corridor is completed, it will help people to better understand the living customs and historical heritage of the Yi people and add a beautiful tourist scenery to Guangzhou.
