It's over. I've been in Angkor's for two days. Made for people like me, right?

I just took part in Buick's SUV challenge tour. What did I mainly drive during the event? Angkewei s this car. Angkewei s is already familiar to everyone, because it has been listed for some time, and we have also written the first trial article. Many people may be puzzled by the positioning of Angkor's, because its space is not as good as Angkor's, but it is more expensive than Angkor's.

and I have a deeper understanding of it after two days of deep contact. If I want to spend about 25 thousand to buy a joint venture SUV, it may be my only choice, because its positioning is too accurate, aiming at consumer groups like me

The two projects made me sit up and take notice of Angkor S and Angkor Banner

Of course, let's briefly talk about this activity at the beginning of the article. This activity takes simulated rally as the main way of series activities. We have to punch in from the hotel and arrive at the designated destination. However, unlike rally, we are not faster than anyone, but more accurate than anyone. During this period, we drove Angkewei S to experience urban road conditions, bad roads under repair, mountain roads and rally stages, covering almost 99% of the use scenes that ordinary people can encounter, and also experienced a short jungle crossing with Angkewei Banner.

There are two items in this activity that I find very interesting: one is a short rally stage; The other is jungle crossing.

in the rally stage, Angkor S Avia with four-wheel drive system was used, and it was only a "plain car" with wheels, tires and lower fender. In this project, the rigidity of the chassis and body of Angkewei S surprised me a little. In my imagination, Angkewei S should be a "delicate" urban SUV, but this is not the case. In this bumpy rally stage, the obedience of the four wheels has always been very good, and with the blessing of CDC suspension, the overall comfort is actually very good, and there is no phenomenon that the helmet keeps hitting the ceiling when it is on a bad road.

at the same time, its body rigidity is also quite good, which inevitably leads to road conditions that distort the body, and there is a platform at the end of the small track, and the whole vehicle will fly in the air and then hit the ground hard. Even in this extreme road condition, I didn't hear the sound of the car body twisting and the feeling of the car twisting, and the overall rigidity was very good. Moreover, we have so many multimedia competitions in turn, and there are no vehicle problems, which shows that the rigidity of the suspension is also very good.

Then there is a jungle cross-country section. Because of the rain, the road surface becomes very slippery, and the overall cross-country difficulty is probably on the middle side, which is basically the worst road condition that everyone can encounter when traveling normally. The four-wheel drive version of Angkor Banner used this time has not even changed the tires, and it is completely original. But thanks to the following two points, first, the ground clearance of Angke Banner is quite high (as are other Buick SUVs), and the passability is much better than that of many urban SUVs with similar ground clearance to cars; Secondly, the torque distribution of this four-wheel drive system is reasonable and rapid, and it can always keep the tires with grip and power when passing through the mud. It's quite easy to walk the whole way, which also makes my colleagues call out, what kind of off-road vehicle to buy, and it's enough to go out and buy a car.

why would I pay for such an SUV?

Let's go back and talk about why I think Angkor's positioning is very accurate, aiming at consumer groups like me. In fact, the positioning of Angkewei S is not just a home SUV, but its target group is actually smaller or more elite. It is aimed at the young consumer groups in first-and second-tier cities. These people are used to a quality life since they were young, and the requirements for cars are not just riding instead of walking. It needs cars to have a good image, drive a little more dynamically, and have certain requirements for driving quality. But refusing to be greasy, as for the space that ordinary users care about, they don't have much pursuit (large-sized bodies are really inconvenient in cities).

first of all, from the concept of the platform, the Angkor S is the most balanced car in the general E2 platform. GM has three brands. At present, Cadillac XT4 and Buick Angkewei S have been born on the E2 platform, and Chevrolet cars are likely to be launched in the future.

as far as the XT4 and Angkewei S that we have driven at present are concerned, the personality differences between these two cars are quite obvious. XT4 is a typical old-fashioned luxury car, with high overall comfort and strong quietness, but it will obviously feel heavy and greasy when driving. Angkewei S, however, has the same advanced materials and excellent mechanical quality, but its design is not so greasy, and it is lighter and more sporty to drive. As for the Chevrolet car that has not yet been launched, don't even think about it. Although it is cheap, it will definitely reduce the mechanical precision in the interior materials. Therefore, Angkor S is definitely the best car that balances luxury and sportiness in the E2 platform.

if put in the same class, Angkor's looks more athletic in any way. As for this S, I think it can be completely understood as SPORT. The first is sitting posture. Most domestic SUVs are sitting high, including Angkewei, while the sitting posture of Angkewei S is obviously much lower, and the front dashboard is also close to 9 vertical. How low is the sitting posture? Many people may have a poor view by setting their seats to the lowest level.

Secondly, the whole center console is obviously biased to the driver's side, which is a typical sports car design.

furthermore, all Angkor S engines are 2.T, and their power specifications are higher than those of most urban SUVs. Most SUVs of this level mainly sell small-displacement engines of about 1.5T. However, Angkor S doesn't provide this option at all, just to ensure a good power experience. We also think that Angkor S with 2.T engine is appropriate when driving, which can provide good power response and power reserve. And the sound of the engine pulling to high speed is also very nice, which is obviously specially adjusted by the engineer.

finally, unlike many traditional SUVs that pursue large space, Angkor S is designed to compress the body size as much as possible, which leads to its rear longitudinal space being 9cm smaller than Angkor's, in exchange for better appearance ratio and more flexible body posture. We also walked a mountain road this time. Compared with Angkewei, Angkewei S can obviously feel the size advantage on the mountain road, and the tail doesn't seem to exist in the corner, which is clean and neat.

So, I think the positioning of Angkor S and BMW X2 is very similar. It is not a product that compromises the market, but has a higher pursuit, which is easy to understand why it is smaller than Angkor but more expensive to sell. Admittedly, this market is not that big, but I will still praise this differentiated product, because the products on the market are too similar, and we need this personalized product to show our individual needs.
