Does anyone in Suzhou recommend a route to Suzhou?

I'm glad I could help you. Before arriving in Suzhou, you must prepare a map of Suzhou. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have it. You can buy a copy from any newsstand in Suzhou.

The following is my suggested itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive in Suzhou. You'd better book a hotel online first, preferably a chain hotel such as Hanting Hotel or Home Inn (100-200 yuan a day.). Be sure to book a hotel near Guanqian and Pingjiang Road. Get off the train and take a taxi directly to the hotel. It usually costs about 15 yuan from the train station to the hotel. Don't squeeze in the bus. You are new here and you are not familiar with the road, so you might as well take a taxi.

After arriving at the hotel, take a short rest and pack your luggage. Then go to Guanqian for dinner. It's up to you to decide what to eat, and there are many things to consider. After dinner, visit Guanqian Street. It would be a pity not to visit Guanqian when visiting Suzhou. There is a complete range of food, drink, entertainment and shopping available before the tour. After shopping in front of the temple, go for a walk on Pingjiang Road. The map of Suzhou comes in handy. If you don’t know anyone, ask someone. It’s very close if you walk there. The antique style of Suzhou's small bridges and flowing water. Then go back to the hotel and rest. There is a peach leaf shop on Pingjiang Road. The double-skinned milk and chicken feet there are very good.

The next day:

You can go directly to the Humble Administrator’s Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and walk for 10 minutes in front of the temple. At this time, your Suzhou map can help you. If you don’t know the way, just ask someone. It's very close to Guanqian. If you go to these two places, you don’t need to go to other gardens in Suzhou. This is the essence of Suzhou gardens and is highly recommended. Tickets for the Humble Administrator's Garden are 70 yuan and the Lion Grove is 30 yuan. If you have a student ID, it's half price. In the afternoon, you can go to Jinji Lake-Ferris Wheel Park-Li Gongti. This is a new attraction in Suzhou Modern Park. Go directly to Guanqian Subway Station and take Metro Line 1 (direction to Zhongnan Street) to visit Jinji Lake. If you are not sure where to get off, ask the staff at the subway station, they are very helpful. The Ferris wheel ticket is 80 yuan, and Jinji Lake Park is free.

The third day:

Go to the North Bus Station to buy a bus ticket to Zhouzhuang. The bus basically runs every half an hour. Tickets to Zhouzhuang are 100 yuan. Visit Zhouzhuang; it is better to go back to Suzhou in the evening. Accommodation in Zhouzhuang is too expensive.

If you don’t want to go so far, you can go to Tiger Hill. Before the tour, take Tour 1 directly to Tiger Hill. The ticket price for Tiger Hill is 60 yuan, which is very famous.

Basically, these few places in Suzhou are enough. After all, you only have two or three days.

In addition, there are snacks in Suzhou, such as double-skinned milk at Taoye Pu on Pingjiang Road in Guanqian, Xiangxin snacks on Jinfan Road, and Huang Tianyuan’s pastries, plum blossom cakes and fermented rice cakes on Guanqian Street. Not bad. These places are not far from where you live.

Wish you a happy time! If you don’t understand, please leave a message to me. When traveling by yourself, you must first do your homework online, including hotel reservations, route arrangements, bus, long-distance bus, and train schedule reviews, so you can get twice the result with half the effort!

The whole process is done by hand, I hope you will adopt it, thank you!
