Guan Guan Driving Day

Hello everyone! I am Guan Guan. I like traveling, eating, playing, cars, and sharing my car life during the holidays!

I would like to invite my friends, the diligent MAC, to take you to visit Qingdao together.

This time we took the train from Beijing to Qingdao, which took about three and a half hours.

I think if you can reach a place that can be reached by train in 4 hours, don’t choose to fly. Generally, the airport is far from the city, and the security check and waiting time are not short.

After arriving in Qingdao, go to the hotel to rest for a while and rent the car on the car rental platform.

What I rented this time was the Xiaopeng P5.

It is not as large as the P7 I tested before, but with its straight roof and 2768mm oversized wheelbase, the actual interior space feels more spacious than the P7.

The headroom and legroom inside are pretty good, but I think the rear seat cushions are a bit short and the leg support would generally be more comfortable if it were longer. The middle seat has a flat floor, so the comfort in the middle position isn't bad either.

The panoramic canopy is quite large, allowing the entire cabin to be well lit. You can close the sunshade when the sun is shining, and the sun protection effect is pretty good.

Xpeng P5’s front 15.6-inch central control display and 12.3-inch full LCD instrument panel make the car full of avant-garde and technological sense.

I sat close to the driver's seat and found that the steering wheel blocked part of the LCD instrument panel display. It felt like a waste of the 12.3-inch size. This part can be optimized.

The "Hello Little P" voice assistant is very powerful in both speech recognition and function execution.

Xpeng P5’s in-car camera will detect whether the driver is driving fatigued, which is quite necessary for long-distance self-driving.

Ready to start our trip to Qingdao.

When we came together the next day, we found that it was raining. I thought that since we rented a car, traveling to Qingdao in the rain would be a unique experience.

But this is not the case. When it rains, the weather becomes cold and humid, and it is very inconvenient to hold an umbrella to take pictures. I originally wanted to walk by the beach today and take pictures of Qingdao’s seascape and street views, but now it’s all over No, we can only visit indoors.

Qingdao Catholic Church, I looked online and it seems that everyone who comes to Qingdao comes here.

The church decoration adopts the Italian Renaissance style. This church is the only consecrated church in China.

The church was designed by a German designer based on Gothic and Romanesque architectural styles. It is a popular tourist attraction.

After leaving the church, we arrived at the Post and Telecommunications Museum at an unlucky time, as it happened to be closed at noon.

Tickets here are free but you need to make a reservation online. There are usually enough tickets, so you can make a temporary appointment when you get here.

The Post and Telecommunications Museum is the former site of the German Imperial Post Office in Jiaoao. It is a twin-tower Gothic building built in 1901.

Qingdao has preserved many buildings from the past, including German Youth, Gothic, Romanesque, Baroque and other architectural styles. If you have time, you must take your time to visit.

Next, we set off to Wheat Island in the wind and rain.

Maimaidao is located on the south coast of Damaidao Village, Laoshan District, Qingdao City.

Wheat Island is surrounded by the sea and has a dam connecting it to the land.

I saw a very beautiful photo of the sunset at this location taken by someone else on the Internet. I thought about taking one, but the weather was unpredictable, let alone raining today. Even if it didn’t rain, I couldn’t take the photo. Because the road leading to the best flight to the beach was blocked, so I can only regret it.

After the rain yesterday, the weather is particularly good today, but the wind is a bit strong.

Today we came to Huangdao District.

Huangdao District is also known as Qingdao West Coast New District. The roads here are very wide and the buildings are very new. It is completely different from the rich sense of history in Qingdao city. It feels like a modern metropolis.

We drove along the seaside road. There were very few cars along the way, so we could leisurely enjoy the scenery.

Turn on the automatic assisted driving system of Xpeng P5 to help you drive better and safely during driving.

The overall driving experience of the Xiaopeng P5 is that the tuning is more comfortable. As a new energy vehicle, its power is sufficient, and it will feel a little pushy when it is switched to the sports mode.

Although the three-day trip to Qingdao was rainy and windy, the scenery and preserved historical buildings of Qingdao, a coastal city, also gave us many surprises.

We hope you all like our sharing, and we have more interesting holiday life to share with your friends!
