How to get to Xiushan Island?

Traffic Guide of Xiushan Island: South Line: Take a bus from Shanghai, Hangzhou and Ningbo to Zhoushan (Dinghai), then take a bus from Dinghai to Sanjiang Pier, and take a boat from Sanjiang Pier to Xiushan (Lanshan Pier).

Northern Line: Take a boat from Shanghai to Daishan, and then take a boat from Daishan to Xiushan (Haiao Wharf).

Located between Zhoushan Island and Daishan Island, the whole island covers an area of 26 square kilometers.

Xiushan Island, as its name implies, is famous for its beautiful scenery. There are many strange peaks and rocks on the island, which are lifelike in shape. In particular, the stone forest of Shuren Rock has various forms. Whenever a storm comes, the waves surge and fly hundreds of meters, hitting rocks, which is a spectacle. Besides, the Sixuan Temple in Beipu, the Niangniang Temple in Shuangwan, the Zhu Ying Temple in Tiao, the Chengxin Temple in Shijingtan and the Simei Pavilion in Lanshan have not only quaint buildings, but also many beautiful folklore.

The peaks of Xiushan Island are undulating. Meishan, Xiufeng and Yangtiangang divide the whole island into Nanpu, Beipu and Hai 'ao.

Xiushan Island is also famous for its rich cultural landscape. In history, there have been many great literati on Xiushan Island, and Li, who is listed in China Celebrity Dictionary, is one of them. He is the author of Baihua Mountain Poetry Copy, good at calligraphy and landscape painting, and his pen and ink remains are still preserved on the island. Therefore, Xiushan Island has the reputation of "Lan Xiu culture".
