Shenzhen smoking ban: Where you can’t smoke

Legal analysis: Smoking is prohibited in indoor workplaces, indoor public places and public transportation in Shenzhen. Smoking is prohibited in the following outdoor places: (1) Outdoor areas of education or activity venues that mainly provide education, teaching, and activity services to minors; (2) Outdoor teaching areas of schools and training institutions other than those specified in Paragraph 1; (3) ) Outdoor areas of parks, medical and health institutions, and social welfare institutions that mainly provide services for pregnant women and children; (4) Other outdoor areas that are not smoking spots in medical and health institutions, cultural and museum units, parks, tourist attractions and other places other than those specified in Paragraph 3 Areas; (5) Outdoor spectator seats and competition venues in stadiums and sports and fitness venues; (6) Within five meters outside the pedestrian entrances and exits of public transportation terminals and outdoor public transportation platforms and waiting lines The area where it is located; (7) The waiting queue area and the outdoor ticket purchasing area outside the pedestrian entrance and exit of the places stipulated in Items 1 to 5 of this paragraph; (8) The municipal and district people's governments may temporarily add prohibited areas according to the needs of holding large-scale activities. Legal basis: Article 8 of the "Shenzhen Special Economic Zone Regulations on Smoking Control" prohibits smoking in indoor workplaces, indoor public places and public transportation.

Smoking is prohibited in the following outdoor places:

(1) Outdoor areas of education or activity venues that mainly provide education, teaching, and activity services for minors;

(2) Outdoor teaching areas of schools and training institutions other than those specified in Paragraph 1;

(3) Outdoor areas of parks, medical and health institutions, and social welfare institutions that mainly provide services for pregnant women and children;

(4) Other outdoor areas that are not smoking spots in medical and health institutions, cultural and museum units, parks, tourist attractions and other places other than those specified in Paragraph 3;

(5) Sports venues, Outdoor spectator seats and competition venues in sports and fitness venues;
