Tourism in Cadiz

Cadiz is a city worth visiting, especially in summer, which is mainly a place for Spanish tourists to travel and spend their holidays. Cadiz has both beautiful ancient cities and good beaches.

Caleta Beach

Caleta Beach (-{La Playa de la Caleta}-) is the most popular beach in Cadiz, and it is sung in many carnival songs. This is the beach of the old town, between two castles. At low tide, it is about 400 meters long and 30 meters wide.

Victoria beach

Most tourists and locals go to Victoria Beach, which is about 3 kilometers long and has an average width of 50 meters. The beach is quite flat and there are no stones. There is a street away from the new town. There are many shops and restaurants on the other side of the street. There is also a sports ground on the beach, where visitors can rent umbrellas, loungers and water skiing.

Barosa Beach

Barosa Beach is the most beautiful section of the Sunshine Coast, with a total length of 9 kilometers and covered with white sand beaches. cathedral

The most famous building in Cadiz is its cathedral, which was built in 1260, but it was built on the site of the old cathedral that was destroyed by fire in 1596. The construction of this new baroque cathedral began at 1776, and the total construction time was 1 16. Its style has changed several times during the construction process. At first, it was designed according to the pattern of baroque architecture, but rococo elements were introduced in the construction process, and finally neoclassicism factors were combined. The original Cadiz Grand Theatre was built in 187 1, but it was burnt down in 188 1. Today's Grand Theatre was built on the old site of Laoda Theatre from 1884 to 1905. Its surface is paved with red bricks, and its style is Mudhar style. After being rebuilt in 1920, it was renamed Fa Ya Grand Theatre to commemorate the famous composer Manuel de Falla y Matheu who was buried in the cathedral. 1980 has been in disrepair for a long time and has now been repaired.
