Three washing methods of silk bedding
Three washing methods of silk bedding: the first washing method of silk bedding
1. When washing, silk products should be soaked in clean water at 30℃ for 5 ~ 10 minutes, gently rubbed with special silk detergent, synthetic low-foaming detergent or neutral soap, and then rinsed with clean water. High-grade silk fabrics are best dry-cleaned.
2. Face outward when drying, and direct sunlight is not allowed.
3. Silk fiber can't stand friction, so be careful not to let furniture and articles with rough surfaces rub its surface.
Don't wear deodorant, perfume, etc. On the surface of silk products; Don't store it with mothballs to avoid discoloration.
4. The ironing temperature should be 100 degrees, and it is best to pad the lining cloth.
5. Collection of silk bedding: Silk products should not be stored in damp or direct sunlight to avoid mildew and fading. When collecting, avoid directly polluting desiccants, cosmetics and perfumes on silk.
If it is accidentally polluted, it should be cleaned in time, otherwise it will turn yellow or black. When stored, it can be folded flat in a drawer or hung on a smooth hanger, but camphor or sanitary balls are not suitable.
In addition, silk products are easy to harden after a long time, and can be soaked and softened with silk softener or white vinegar thinner.
It is best to expose the silk products in the sun before collection, and then put them in a box. Be careful not to use too much force.
Silk products of different colors should be separated by paper to prevent discoloration.
When collecting white silk products, wrap them in blue paper and do not change color. If it is wrapped in white paper, it will make the white silk yellow.
White silk products should not put camphor essence, otherwise it will turn yellow.
In addition, silk is a natural fiber and needs ventilation, so don't hang it in plastic bags for a long time when collecting it.
Washing method of silk bedding II
1. When washing, wash it by hand below 30 degrees and turn the silk products upside down, so that the washed silk bedding is soft and smooth;
2. Alkaline detergent and soap should not be used for washing. After washing, put it in a ventilated place to dry, so as not to damage the feel and color of silk products;
3. Wash the sweaty silk bedding immediately;
4. Don't hang the silk bedding on the hard metal hook to prevent the silk surface from being damaged;
5. When silk bedding is not in use, moth balls should not be put, otherwise it will be brittle;
6. The ironing temperature should be 100 degrees, and it is best to pad the lining cloth.
Washing method 3 of silk bedding
Washing: Silk is best dry-cleaned. If you wash yourself, you should choose a neutral detergent, soak it in low-temperature water for 15 to 20 minutes, then gently rub it and rinse it with clear water. Washing machine or alkaline soap should not be used, nor should it be washed at high temperature or forcibly rubbed.
After washing, gently squeeze out the water, hang it on a hanger and let it drip dry to avoid fading in the sun.
Collection: Silk products should not be stored in damp or direct sunlight to avoid mildew and fading.
Avoid direct pollution of desiccant, cosmetics, perfume, etc. Put it on silk when collecting.
Function of silk bedding
First, comfort.
Silk is made of protein fiber, which has excellent biocompatibility with human body and smooth surface, and its friction stimulation coefficient to human body is the lowest among all fibers, only 7.4%.
Second, it has good hygroscopicity and moisture release.
Silk protein fiber is rich in amino (-CHNH), amino (-NH2) and other hydrophilic groups, and because of its porosity, water molecules are easy to diffuse, so it can absorb or release water in the air and maintain a certain amount of water.
At normal temperature, it can help the skin retain a certain amount of moisture and will not make the skin too dry; In summer, the sweat and heat discharged by the human body can be quickly distributed, which makes people feel extremely cool.
It is precisely because of this characteristic that silk bedding is more suitable for direct contact with human skin.
Third, warmth.
Silk not only has good heat dissipation performance, but also has good warmth retention. Its thermal insulation performance is proud of its porous fiber structure.
There are many tiny fibers in a silk fiber, and these tiny fibers are composed of even smaller fibers.
So the seemingly solid silk is actually more than 38% hollow, and there is a lot of air in these gaps, which prevents the heat from emitting and makes the silk have good warmth retention.
Fourth, prevent ultraviolet rays.
Tryptophan and tyrosine in silk protein can absorb ultraviolet rays, so silk has good anti-ultraviolet function. Moreover, ultraviolet rays do great harm to human skin.
Of course, after absorbing ultraviolet rays, silk itself will undergo chemical changes, which will make silk fabrics easily yellow under the irradiation of sunlight.
Matters needing attention in cleaning silk bedding
1. Don't alkaline wash.
Silk is acid-resistant and alkali-resistant, so the most direct method to judge silk is 84 dissolution method. Because many detergents are alkaline at present, which is harmful to fabrics, special detergents for silk should be used.
2. Don't wash with hot water
Silk is protein fiber, which turns yellow in hot water. If hot water can cause the fabric to turn yellow when washing, and silk fabrics generally use acid dyes, hot water will lead to increased fading.
3. Don't use the washing machine
Silk fabrics are delicate. If they are washed by a washing machine, they are prone to problems such as fuzzing and whitening, especially jacquard silk products, which will cause serious fuzzing and reeling and affect the service life of the fabrics.
4. Don't screw it out or rotate it out.
Silk is particularly prone to wrinkling, so don't throw it in the washing machine or twist it by hand, which will lead to too many wrinkles on silk fabric and affect its appearance. It's best to dry it with clean water, because silk dries easily.
Don't expose yourself to high temperature.
The protein content of silk is very high, and there is strong ultraviolet light in the sun. Although silk absorbs ultraviolet rays, protein will solidify, become brittle and yellow when exposed to ultraviolet rays, and its toughness will disappear, so it is suitable for ventilation and drying.
6. Don't iron at high temperature.
Silk wrinkles easily and needs ironing. But high temperature will cause the fabric to turn yellow and brittle. Therefore, it is best to air dry the product to 80% dry and cover the silk surface with white cloth for ironing. Do not use steam or water spray at medium or low temperature.
