How to use wireless access points

(wireless access point, access

Point (also called wireless access point, session point or access bridge) is a very broad name, including not only simple wireless access point (wireless AP), but also wireless routers (including wireless gateways and wireless bridges) and other devices. Wireless AP supports wireless applications in 2.4GHz band, and its sensitivity conforms to 802.11n.

Standard, and adopts two RF outputs, each with a maximum output of 600 MW. It can deploy large-area wireless coverage through wireless distribution systems (point-to-point and point-to-multipoint bridging), and it is an essential wireless AP equipment for hotels to develop wireless networks. At present, the industrial wireless AP has been successfully applied in many places, such as Nanning Gui Jing Hotel, Dongguan Houjie Ginza Hotel and Seven Days Hotel Chain, because it has the characteristics of good signal, simple installation, low cost and stable operation.

Use of wireless access points:

Step 1: Prepare wireless equipment according to the number of hotel floors and the corridor length of each floor. For example, a seven-day hotel chain in Hangzhou has 10 floors, and the corridor is linear, with a length of 40 meters, and each floor has 10 rooms. The 1 floor is designed to install 1 APS+2 ceiling antennas on the ceiling of the hotel corridor, and the wireless AP is connected with the ceiling antennas through an 8-meter-long n-head jumper -7. The installation is very simple, and the wireless signal penetrates into the rooms on both sides of the corridor.

Step 2: Place a set of wireless AP on each floor of the hotel, and the wireless AP is connected to the computer room switch through POE network cable. The AP is connected to the ceiling antenna through a feeder and installed in the corridor. The distance between each antenna is 10-20m, and each antenna covers 5- 10 rooms. Using wireless AP dual output can connect 2-4 ceiling antennas, covering 10-24 rooms.

Step 3: After the wireless AP and ceiling antenna are all installed, you can use the wireless signal testing software WirelessMon to test the wireless signals in each room. When testing, you need to use a laptop. If the wireless signal reaches -65, it is considered qualified.

Step 4: Set the wireless AP, and log in to the management interface after restoring the default values. The default IP is192.168.1.20.
