Jiangxi Lushan Bailudong Academy

Bailudong Academy is located at the foot of Wulaofeng in the southeast of Lushan Mountain, covering an area of nearly 200,000 square meters and a building area of 3,800 square meters. Founded in the early Tang Dynasty, Li Bo, a native of Luoyang in the Tang Dynasty, lived in seclusion and studied with his brother. Because Li Bo raised a white deer and followed it out, he was called "Mr. Bailuyuan". ?

Bailu Cave is surrounded by mountains and overlooks the cave, hence its name. During the reign of Changqing, Li Bo served as the secretariat of Fu Jiang, built a pavilion in Bailudong and planted flowers and trees all over the place.

Since then, Bailudong has become famous for a while and has gradually become a place for literati in the four townships. Southern Tang regime established a school in Li Bo's seclusion, which was called "Lushan Guo Xue" and "Bailu Guo Xue". In the early years of the Northern Song Dynasty, Lushan Sinology was expanded and renamed "Bailuyuan Academy".

Zhu Zeng, a Neo-Confucianism scholar in Song Dynasty, gave lectures here, which shows his prominent position in the literary world of China at that time. Bailudong Academy is one of the famous academies in the history of China. It was once known as "the first academy in China" and "the first academy in the world".
