Pankou hotel

Cang Qiao Zhijie is an original ecological historical block in Shaoxing, Zhejiang.

Shaoxing, with a history of 2,500 years, is called "a museum without walls". Small bridges and flowing water, awning boats; Bamboo, willow, paddle. Not the scenery, but born this way, which lasts for thousands of years.

/kloc-stayed at Jinjiang Inn Shaoxing Shengli Road in October, at the intersection of Shengli West Road and Huancheng West Road, the main road of Shaoxing. Downstairs of the hotel is the Fuhe River, which flows slowly and still day and night.

Turn right out of the hotel, pass by Datong School and Gu Yue Library successively, have a quick look and continue browsing. In Shaoxing city in 2500, there are many cultural relics everywhere, but you can't see them anyway, so don't regret it.

I still remember the sunshine that morning, pouring on the river on my right hand side, pouring on the empty bench by the river, pouring on the tender and affectionate wicker, pouring on the clean and wet Yong road. ...

Although it is the 11th holiday, Shaoxing here and now is so quiet, as if it were a fresh dream.

Walking, a slightly wider river suddenly flashed in front of me, and dozens of awning boats were crowded and berthed.

Further on, it is the famous Cang Qiao Straight Street.

Shaoxing has many world-famous scenic spots, such as Lu Xun's hometown, such as Shenyuan Garden, but I can't name the streets and lanes here, and I prefer to visit them. White wall, deva, lives by the river. Occasionally, there are awning boats carrying tourists slowly forward, not noisy or crowded, only listening to the slow sound of the waves. The boatmen here paddle with their feet. At first glance, they were surprised.

I think this is Shaoxing and this is a water town.

1.5km Cang Qiao Street is located in the center of Shaoxing, which consists of three parts: river course, residential building and block. The history can be traced back to the Song Dynasty, and the name "Cang Qiao" originated from its location as a warehouse and post office in Shaoxing. Most of the residential buildings in Zhijie, Cang Qiao were built in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, and many terraces with local characteristics were well preserved. In 2003, they won the "UNESCO Asia-Pacific Cultural Heritage Protection Excellence Award". Cang Qiao Zhijie is an original ecological historical block, where there are thousands of aborigines, ancient terraces, lattice windows, stone benches with flowers and plants in the patio, and old-fashioned coal stoves in the corner, which have always been there and have nothing to do with any tourists. The old houses here are all built by the river. It is said that every backyard has a small river port.

The so-called balcony door, according to relevant data, refers to an independent house with regular plane and vertical expansion, which generally consists of patio, hall, side room, building and group land. There are 43 platform doors on the east and west sides of Cang Qiao Zhijie. Speaking of it, the platform door is very similar to the quadrangle in the north. The locals said that in the past, a platform door often lived in several families, but the situation is unknown now.

Many platforms are open, and some tour guides will explain the history and present situation of the platforms to tourists on the spot. However, a lone ranger like me doesn't feel disgusted when he walks into a platform, and seems to have seen a lot of things.

At the front door, I live a life. Ordinary, but endless.

Walking along the stone road by the river, clothes hangers supported by bamboo poles, brightly washed sheets and clean towels caught by clips can be seen everywhere, basking in the wind. A closer look shows that a bucket of soybean oil filled with water is hung at each end of the bamboo pole, probably for fear that the sudden wind will blow down the simple clothes rack. I walked in the shadow of light sheets, in the shadow of swaying trees, savoring the days in the street and the smell of sunshine.

Further on, there is a honeycomb coal stove and an old kettle smoking flowers in the corner of the old house by the river. Old-fashioned poker aside is very common in Shaoxing. This is the case with the splayed bridge, and so is the straight street in Cang Qiao.

Shaoxing does not object to the merchants in Cang Qiao Zhijie as long as they are not built under the old gate, but it does not advocate or encourage them. Cang Qiao Zhijie has never planned to build a commercial street, and tourists come and go, or unintentionally. On this street, there are many petty bourgeoisie tea shops inviting you to read in a daze, but it is far less tired than Gulangyu or Lijiang. There are also some famous restaurants in Zhijie, Cang Qiao. The old flavor of Shaoxing food attracts tourists from all directions. I also passed a yellow pub and tasted a small glass of daughter red.

Walking slowly along the street in Cang Qiao, I met a flower seller. She is wearing blue trousers and a navy blue sweater. No, this retro dress is not the point. The focus is on her hair, which is combed into two long thin braids, gray, but not messy. She carried two old laundry baskets with a simple bamboo pole, which contained several thin and small flower seedlings, perhaps pomegranates, with several orange blossoms on them. The first time I saw her, I felt that I had crossed, or that she had crossed. ...

The restoration and transformation of Zhijie in Cang Qiao is not only to continue the cultural atmosphere of an ancient historical city, but also to make the indigenous people here live more comfortably. According to some data, it has basically realized "repairing the old as the old". At the same time, every household has increased sanitary facilities, bid farewell to the toilet era, and sewage pipes have also been included in the urban sewage pipe network. Television, telecommunications, electricity and tap water pipelines are buried underground at one time.

Here, it is not out of touch with the times. Similarly, it is not out of touch with history.

This is exactly the Shaoxing I love, and the Cang Qiao I love.
