Renovation of Pacific Place

In 1998, Swire Properties invited the famous American designer James Carpenter to lead the renovation project of Pacific Place. The project includes the renovation of restrooms on each floor and the addition of a new glass staircase on the second to third floors to facilitate the flow of people.

Swire Properties began a HK$2.1 billion reconstruction plan and renovation project in 2008. Among them, the hotel-style residence Xi Siam Xuan was converted into a hotel "The Upper House", providing 117 rooms and completed in the fourth quarter of 2009. The first phase of the shopping mall renovation project includes renovating the restrooms from the ground floor to the second floor, using streamlined wood to create a wave effect, dismantling the original lifts in the first phase, and converting them into transparent lifts that run from the basement parking lot to the fourth floor to increase facilities. interoperability. In addition, a new parking lot lobby has been built in the basement of Phase I and Phase II, and is connected by an escalator, making it more convenient for shoppers. The Garden Court in LG1 has also been renovated, adding large chandeliers and re-paving the stone floor; a Domani fine dining restaurant was added on the fourth floor, covering an area of ??4,843 square feet. The second phase of renovation is now underway and will be completed by the end of 2011. The entire renovation project was led by the famous British designer Thomas Heatherwick.

In order to match the new style of the mall's exterior and interior, Pacific Place adopted a new logo in November 2009 to replace the one that had been in use since the 1980s. The new logo is carved with extended flowing lines. Representing the name of Pacific Place, the pattern includes the "PP" logo formed by two connected "P" letters.
