History of Hong Kong Hotels

The original site of Hong Kong Hotel is near the sea, 1868 opened. The building is six stories high and has always been the tallest building at that time. The hotel once changed owners, and finally it was owned by the major shareholder Hong Kong and Shanghai Hotel. Hong Kong Hotel also closed down because of the fire on February 1926 (the first day of the first lunar month). Later, the group was held in Kowloon Peninsula Hotel.
