What Hong Kong Medal of Honor?

Medal of Honor (English: Medal of Honor)

The honours system in Hong Kong was established by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on 1998. It aims to commend people from all walks of life for their contributions or achievements to Hong Kong. The honouring system also includes the medal of valor and various military units to commend individuals. The honours list is published in the Gazette on the anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on July 1 every year, and the honours ceremony is held at Government House on June 10 every year.

The Grand Bauhinia Medal (GBM) is awarded to outstanding people who have made great contributions to Hong Kong all their lives.

Bauhinia star

Gold bauhinia star (GBS)-A person who has made great contributions to society or actively participated in public voluntary service and was highly praised.

Silver bauhinia star (SBS)- Awarded to those who have been leaders in public affairs and voluntary work for a long time.

Bronze bauhinia star (BBS)-awarded to people who have served in individual fields of society for a long time and made outstanding achievements. Compared with silver bauhinia star, the services provided by bronze bauhinia star winners are more confined to individual fields or ways.
