The origin of the Yongfeng Dyke originally located next to Hanyang Park
The original Yongfeng Embankment next to Hanyang Park dates back to the Huizong period of the Northern Song Dynasty. General Zhang Kang built a dike here. It was winter and heavy snow blocked the lake, hindering the project. Just when everyone was helpless, a white sika deer ran across the snow, leaving a series of footprints. General Zhang had an idea and ordered his soldiers to drive piles along the white deer's footprints, and soon the dike was built.
Hanyang Park is located next to the Lotus Lake on Hanyang Avenue. It was built in 1957 and covers an area of ??about 26,000 square meters. It is a new type of park with local characteristics.
There are Wenhui Hall, Yuxiang Tower and other buildings in the park. There are also scenic spots such as Fengyi Pavilion, Xuxin Pavilion, Congxiao Pavilion, Songnuan Pavilion and Tiaohongxuan. Flowers are the most distinctive feature of the garden. There are hundreds of precious flowers such as peonies, peonies, rhododendrons and roses. The various landscapes in the park are densely wooded, and visitors can enjoy both visiting the park and viewing flowers.
