Rafael Moneo's life

As early as school, Moneo worked in Madrid and was a student of architect Francisco. Five years later, Moneo set up his own studio and began to teach at his alma mater. 1985 was hired as Dean of Design and Research Institute of Harvard University School of Architecture. Later, he was awarded the honorary title of Professor Josep Luis Sert of Harvard University Design Institute, and continued to teach here.

As an architect, Raphael Moneo is also an orator, critic and theorist. His works were published in the most important professional magazines, and the charm of his works spread to the vast world on both sides of the Atlantic through speeches and exhibitions.

In 2003, Rafael Moneo won the gold medal of the Royal Institute of Architects.

Among them, the National Museum of Art in Rome (1983 ~ 1993) won the Manuel de la Hertha Award, a landmark building in Spain for ten years, which is his most critical work. In 20001year, Kulzer Music Center won the Mies van der Rohe European Architecture Award issued by the European Union of Modern Architecture and the Manuel de la de Hessa Award of the 6th Spanish Architecture Biennale.
