Reflections after reading Dacheng Xiaolian
This novel collection consists of five volumes: "Little Love in the Big City", "Colorful Colors in Bloom", "Beautiful Days", "You Come and Me", and "Love Will Grow Up". Every story is intertwined and collided with love, family affection, and friendship. These are ordinary stories that may happen around us. The language is simple, plain, and non-verbose, making it easy and smooth to read. Among these stories, my favorite is "Beautiful Days". "Beautiful Days" is representative to a certain extent. It vividly and penetratingly portrays the cautiousness, battle of wits, intrigues, and selfishness of Shanghainese when they seek out foreign wives. Each story has its own characteristics. I will describe the plots of each of the five stories.
1. "Little Love in the Big City" tells the story of the love story between Su Yizhen, an urban white-collar worker, and Liu Yan, a young man from the suburbs. Su Yizhen went to a bar after her college classmates' reunion and met Liu Yan, a worker at a Sichuan restaurant. Liu Yan then sent him home, and she met him in the elevator when he came to the company to deliver food. He helped his colleagues enjoy a discount on Sichuan food and enjoyed Liu Yan's food. Yan prepared the "tomato sauce version of Sichuan food" for her alone, and began to fall in love. Their love affair developed a little too fast. The foundation of love was gratitude, while other practical issues were ignored. Therefore, when the parents of both parties meet, problems such as the wealth divide, the difference in knowledge, the age gap, etc. all appear. In other words, the two of them just played a love game, and they were not in love yet. Therefore, it was normal for Liu Yan to leave without saying goodbye in the end, because he was still an immature child. Su Yizhen's marriage to her first love classmate Du Yuan is also a rational choice. They have love and bread. Food and clothing are the basis for a stable marriage. I believe they can live a good life. At the end, Su Yizhen suddenly had a thought in his mind and searched for "Liu Yan". The sad thing in his heart was probably just a woman's condolences for a fruitless love in her life. I personally feel that this story is less likely to appear in real life.
2. "Blooming Colors" tells the life and love story of Xiang Hai and Xiang Yijun, a father and daughter who love opera. In modern society, a girl who loves to sing is a bit alien, so Xiang Yijun failed in several blind dates because of her love of singing, and was criticized for being evil. Xiang Yijun secretly fell in love while teaching insurance salesman Mao An to sing opera, while Mao An only learned opera to please his girlfriend. Father Xiang Hai and his neighbor Luo Manjuan are interested in each other, but they dare not confess to each other. Through the netizen "Liu Mengmei", Xiang Hai and Luo Manjuan suggested that Xiang Hai and Luo Manjuan have some contacts, but they are not able to express their feelings naturally. Luo Manjuan is going to marry an accountant. The netizen "Liu Mengmei" turned out to be the incompetent son of the neighbor on the fifth floor. He was also blackmailed for RMB 30,000 and lost all his life and property. This father and daughter are more natural in the opera life, but in real life they are too shy to express their favorite love objects, and in the end they cannot enjoy happiness. The plot of the novel is twists and turns, the layout is reasonable, and it flows naturally, making the protagonist sigh after reading it.
3. "Beautiful Days" is my favorite article in this collection of novels. Yao Hong, a native of Shangrao, Jiangxi Province, battled wits, courage and tactics with Mrs. Wei in order to become a Shanghai wife. Smart, cunning, persistent, and won't give up until the goal is achieved. My emotions fluctuated along with the plot of the novel. Sometimes I wanted to laugh, and sometimes I had to sympathize with her. The story did not forget to describe Mrs. Wei's use of "hidden rules". She was unwilling to give up until she achieved her goal. What should she do? Whether you should sympathize or be flogged, you don’t know, this is what life forces you to do.
4. "You Come and Me" is my least favorite article in this collection of novels. My dislike does not mean that the author's writing is not good, but that the story design is a bit "cruel." "----It is not right for a child to pester a woman who has lost her husband for her own studies; it is even more wrong for an adult to have to study with a child and mess around.
The story begins with Liu Fangfang entangled with Vice President Ma for extra pension because her husband Ge Dahai died when his motorcycle hit a telephone pole on the way to get off work. The little girl Wang Qin was forced to use various methods and means to finally get an extra 150,000 yuan. If there was no trouble, her husband's employer would only give him 50,000 yuan. As the saying goes, "A child who cries gets milk." If Liu Fangfang continues her duties, the quality of life for her and her son will definitely become difficult because of her husband's death. With an extra 150,000 yuan, I can't say that I have no worries about food and clothing, but I am definitely a little more relaxed financially. Want money or face? Do we have to learn how to make noise in the future so that we can get more benefits? !
5. The story "Love Will Grow Up" is also a common problem in today's marriage life about how couples can adapt and be tolerant. The story begins with young couple Dong Zhenzhu and Chen Cheng joking about calling the police for throwing away their mobile phones on the subway, and then unfolds such plots as getting angry, quarreling, getting divorced, parents persuading, friends taking advantage of the opportunity to get involved, and finally both parties understanding and reconciling. Dong Zhenzhu is obviously a representative of Shanghai’s “women”, and Chen Cheng is also a representative of “Shanghai’s good men”. Dong Pearl's friend Shang Qingqing fell in love with Chen Cheng and divorced her husband. Of course, Chen Cheng did not fall in love with her in the end, and Dong Pearl also learned to grow up through the quarrel. I like to see such a happy ending between husband and wife, but in the current society, love and marriage have become fast food, and there are fewer and fewer young people who know how to cherish and tolerate.
These five stories come from life and reflect the representative values ??and morals of the current society. Everyone comes to this world with their own purposes and tasks. What kind of life you want is what you make your own decision and what kind of person you become. The author uses simple and popular literary language to lead readers into the life situations in the novel and experience the sweet and sour life together.
Running a good life may be tiring, but reading the life in this novel does not feel tiring at all.
