The Life of the Characters in Sun Dashi's Works

Mr. Sun Dashi is a famous contemporary painter in China, also known as Sun Ying. He is good at landscape painting. His freehand brushwork of ink and wash landscape painting not only has traditional techniques, but also has the charm of the times and is full of innovative consciousness. He is an important artist who promoted the reform of Chinese painting in the second half of this century.

Because of Sun Dashi's special life experience, he didn't have the opportunity to enter an art school to receive systematic professional training. Instead, he began his artistic pursuit in his military career, and then he went diving in art education for a period of time. With his own understanding and redoubled efforts, he started from watercolor painting to the exploration and practice of Chinese painting. In middle age, he occupied an important position in the painting circle of Taiwan Province Province.

In the twelfth lunar month, Gaotang County is filled with a strong Chinese New Year atmosphere. Pedestrians in the street are busy buying new year's goods, and firecrackers are endless. Ask the way to Sun Dashi's house in the street, and someone will tell you enthusiastically, at the North Lake and at the Sun Dashi Art Museum. There is also an informed statement. Mr. Sun usually lives in Beijing and his home is in Gaotang. Knock knock, the tall and handsome Mr. Dashi appeared in front of the reporter, looking like a sage. The old man enthusiastically showed us around his art gallery in person, explaining the creative background of each work, answering reporters' questions, with clear thinking and fluent language, unlike an 85-year-old man at all.

Sun Dashi was fascinated by painting since he was a child. When he was seven or eight years old, he painted a picture of Su Wu Shepherd on the newly-built screen wall of his fourth uncle's house. When he was 9 years old, his mother died. From then on, Sun Dashi experienced the changes of the world, became a little apprentice, and began a wandering life. When the "July 7th Incident" broke out, he took part in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, but his paintings continued unabated, and the sketch book never left his hand, thus laying a solid realistic foundation.

Sun Dashi went to Taiwan from 65438 to 0949, specializing in art education and taking part in various art activities. The establishment of "China Modern Painting Society", "Sihai Painting Society" and "China Modern Ink Painting Society" will lead the charge of the reform and innovation of traditional painting in China, and its reputation is no less than that of Zhang Daqian and Huang Junbi. From 1960s to 1970s, Mr. Sun Dashi held solo exhibitions or joint exhibitions in Malaysia, Australia, Germany, the United States, New Zealand, Brazil and other countries, and held four solo exhibitions in Japan. His artistic achievements caused a sensation in these countries.

1In August, 946, Feng Zikai returned to his hometown from Chongqing and held a sketch exhibition in Hankou. Sun Dashi showed his works to Mr. Feng Zikai at the exhibition, and introduced himself, saying, I don't have a teacher, and I learned a lot of sketching knowledge from your "Picture Handout". After reading his sketches, Mr. Feng spoke highly of his works: "Everyone has his own spiritual path, and this frame is a masterpiece." He also presented his works with books.

From 65438 to 0948, I met Mr. Zhang, who had just graduated from Beiping National Academy of Fine Arts, in the night sketch class of Qingdao Amateur Art School. At that time, Zhang was a teacher. I am very close to Zhang. Mr. Zhang once sketched his head. Sun Dashi cherishes this painting, which has been preserved to this day.

At the end of September, Sun Dashi finally met his long-admired countryman Mr. Li Kuchan. Li Kuchan was 80 years old at that time. Later, Sun Dashi once showed Li Kuchan one of his "Calm Rivers". Li Kuchan appreciated his unique style and wrote an inscription: "Learning from nature means learning from nature. God created everything, and painters can create everything, and painting their own pictures is to open up their own path. Looking at Sun Yingdi's latest works, he encouraged him with the number of questions. Eighty-six bitter Zen. " To Sun Dashi's regret, Li Kuchan passed away on June 6th and didn't get any more advice from Li Kuchan. Talking about these people who have helped themselves is like yesterday, which makes Sun Dashi miss him very much. In addition, when talking about old friends such as Huangzhou, Zhou Sicong and Yin Shoushi, the old man was deeply touched. When chatting with Mr. Sun, his wife Xie supplemented him with strong Hunan dialect from time to time. In two years, it will be the golden wedding year for the two old people.

1944, Jinshi, Hunan Province, often went to play with a colleague who lives in a small local businessman's house, and met the merchant's daughter Xie. One to two, the two developed feelings, but they were strongly opposed by Xie's father. Xie He went to ask his uncle for help to intercede. 1April, 944, they got married.

1949, He Xie arrived in Taiwan Province Province and was detained for saying something dissatisfied with reality. Losing his source of livelihood, Xie made a living by selling vegetables and sewing sacks. Sending meals to Sun Dashi twice a week has become her greatest happiness. When she watched her husband happily eating her cooking, all the grievances and tiredness disappeared. 1957 On March 3, their daughter Sun Qinglan was born, and four years later, their son Sun Qingsheng also came to the world. In order to support the family, Xie raised chickens and quails in the yard. Although living in poverty, the two old people still find it unforgettable in retrospect.

1979, Mr. and Mrs. Sun Dashi, who settled in the United States, returned to China to visit their relatives and their hometown after 30 years' absence. At the end of 1982, Xie went back to China to visit relatives again and lived at home for nearly two months. After returning to the United States, Xie asked to return to China immediately almost every day. Xie gave an ultimatum: children don't understand: it's strange that people try their best to go out, but you insist on going back

In July 1982, I went through the relevant formalities and finally returned to China to settle down. Later, after the Sun Dashi Art Museum was built, the two old people lived in Beijing for half a year, returned to Gaotang for half a year, and enjoyed their old age in both places. It is well known in Gaotang that the Dashi couple returned to the village to be brave.

1979 when he returned to his hometown for the first time, Sun Dashi felt very heavy when he saw the shabby appearance of Sunzhuang Primary School. After returning to the United States, he sent 1000 dollars to renovate the school and make desks and chairs for the students. When he was a child, he studied in the nearby Quzhuang Primary School. After returning home, he saw that Quzhuang Primary School was also very shabby, so he raised 250,000 yuan to build Sun Dashi Hope Primary School between Sunzhuang and Quzhuang. Children nearby can go to school here. They are equipped with computers and advanced teaching equipment. The two old people also spent 654.38 million yuan to set up the Sun Dashi Scholarship Fund in Gaotang No.1 Middle School, the highest institution in Gaotang County. Every year, the 654.38+00th person who enters the university can get this scholarship, and Sun Dashi is also employed as the honorary president of the school.

In addition, there is a treasure of the town hall in the museum, which is a huge inkstone carved by five seiko workers in three years, praising Sun Dashi's reputation. This inkstone consists of 87 dragons, and the Yellow River, the Great Wall, pine and cypress, and Xue Rui meteorites are magnificent. The giant inkstone is 1.5 meters high, 4 meters long, 2.5 meters wide and weighs more than ten tons. It is a national treasure. It is reported that Sun Dashi also donated it to Gaotang County.
