What do you mean by moss?
Jianghuai, a geographical term, as its name implies, refers to the areas of "Jiang" (Yangtze River) and "Huai River" (Huaihe River). In a narrow sense, it refers to the area between the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and Huaihe River, and now it refers to southern Henan, Jiangsu and central Anhui. The Huaihe River and Jiangsu Province, Anhui Province and Xinyang City of Henan Province in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River were formed by the impact of the Yangtze River and Huaihe River.
Jianghuai is located in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River in Jiangsu Province and Anhui Province to Huaihe River Basin, which is mainly alluvial by the Yangtze River and Huaihe River. Low-lying, the altitude is generally below 10 meter, the water network is intertwined and there are many lakes. Affected by geological structure and ascending movement, the plains along the Yangtze River have formed 2~3 terraces, with many low mountains, hills and hills.
Historical evolution:
In ancient times, Jianghuai refers to Jiangnan and Huainan areas. Jiangnan Road and Huainan Road were set up in the Tang Dynasty, collectively referred to as Jianghuai area, which was synonymous with the most developed economic and cultural areas in China at that time. The ancients said that "the world's taxation depends on Jianghuai" and "Jianghuai has been a rich place in the world since ancient times".
Huainan West Road and Huainan East Road were established in Song Dynasty. In the Yuan Dynasty, Huaibei belonged to Jiangbei Province of Henan Province.
Huainan West Road, established in the Southern Song Dynasty, is located in central Anhui and southern Henan, including Hefei, Anqing, Lu 'an, Huainan, Bengbu and Xinyang. The local dialects are mainly Jianghuai Mandarin and Gan Dialect. Anqing's counties (except Tongcheng) belong to Huai Yue in Gan dialect, and the rest belong to Huai Xi in Hong Chao in Jianghuai Mandarin.
Huainan East Road was established in the Southern Song Dynasty and located in the middle of Jiangsu, including Yangzhou, Taizhou, Nantong, Huai 'an, Yancheng and Lianyungang. Dialects in this area are divided into Jianghuai Mandarin, Zhongyuan Mandarin and Wu dialect, among which Qidong, Haimen and Jingjiang are Wu dialects, and the northern counties of Lianyungang are Zhongyuan Mandarin, and the rest belong to Hong Chao and Tairu dialects of Jianghuai Mandarin. Yangzhou, Huai 'an and Yancheng belong to Huaiyang, Lianyungang belongs to Hayes, and Taizhou and Nantong belong to Tairu.
