The Historical Origin of "Traveling to the North of Guangdong"

Origin-

There is a county in northern Guangdong named "Yangshan", which was named after the establishment of Yangshan Pass in Qin Dynasty. It was founded in the Western Han Dynasty and has a history of more than 2,200 years. Throughout the ages, literati and poets have come frequently, and after the tour, they once said, "Hard work wins the scenery of Yangshuo, and the paintings are full of forests and mountains in Guangxi"; "The mountains are like Qiongdao, the clouds are like the sea, and the water is like Yaoyu River. Guilin is always good on earth, just because it has never been to Yangshan". Yangshan is rich in natural resources and beautiful Zhong Ling. When Han Yu, a great writer in the Tang Dynasty, was demoted to Yangshan County in 803 AD, he praised Yangshan as "my state's landscape is famous all over the world". Han Yu is famous for his kind words and deeds in Yangshan, and there is a touching legend about "traveling in northern Guangdong".

According to legend-

During Tang Zhenyuan's tenure, Han Yu often visited incognito and sympathized with the people's feelings. One day, Han Yu walked dozens of miles and unconsciously came to Qinglian Village. A group of people are hungry and look around for shops to satisfy their hunger. Passers-by pointed to "northbound Guangdong", and Han Yu and others couldn't wait to run towards the shop. Han Yu finally found the shop, and happened to meet a fierce man arguing with a civilian. After learning about it, Han Yu learned that this civilian is the "shopkeeper" of this store, and another fierce local "bully" often goes to the store to eat overlord meals. Later, after being dealt with by Hanyu county magistrate, the owner finally got a fair solution and was extremely happy. The shopkeeper welcomed Han Xianling to his seat and presented him with wheat soup. He said, "This is for the local boss, and Wang made it himself. It is unique to Yangshan. Please taste it! " Han Yu took a few bites, but his heart felt sour. He sighed, "Yangshan is the poorest place in the world! How hard the people in southern Xinjiang are. " Not long after, Han Zhifu looked at the dry goods and exotic flowers in the store with great interest and asked, What is this? The shopkeeper replied, "In addition to handling some groceries, I also prescribe Chinese medicine and sell herbal tea for the benefit of the people." In the eight diagrams genealogy, I learned that it was the descendant of Cai Shudu, the ancestor of Cai's family, and gladly named Lipu as "Jiyang Hall", which meant to protect the strong people of Yangshan. Since then, the Chua family's "Traveling to the North of Guangdong" and "Jiyang Hall" have prospered in the rural areas of northern Guangdong and gained fame.

Legacy-

Thousands of years later, it was not until the seventh year of the Republic of China that Cai Bao, a direct descendant of Yangshan Cai's family, took over the mantle. Cai Bao is smart. He studied medicine since childhood, specializing in Chinese herbal medicine. He is a famous old Chinese doctor in Fiona Fang, Guangdong Province, and is deeply loved by people. When Cai Baonian was young, he passed on Journey to the North of Guangdong and Jitangyang to later generations (Cai Nengqiang's grandfather and uncle). Journey to the North of Guangdong was in selling groceries, where he made a guest appearance and sold herbal tea. "Jiyang Hall" specializes in making Chinese herbal medicines, asking for prescriptions, selling herbal tea on behalf of customers, and helping the poor. The customers of the two old shops are in an endless stream and their business is booming. After liberation, Cai Tulin, the sole heir of the two old shops, took over the ancestral business. Due to the busy teaching and personnel training, neglect of management and operation, the decline of family wealth, and the influence of the Cultural Revolution, all the sites and instruments of "Traveling to the North of Guangdong" and "Jiyang Hall" were destroyed. Secondly, Cai Nengqiang (the inheritor of the secret recipe) came from a poor family when he was young. He couldn't even afford to buy oil and salt in his life, so he couldn't go to school, was forced to drop out of school, and had no choice but to go to society.

Revival-

Despite suffering, Cai Nengqiang is determined to restore the glory of his ancestors. After all kinds of twists and turns, the time-honored enterprise "Yuebei Tour" finally reopened in the 1990s. Cai Nengqiang, on the basis of ancestral secret recipe, integrates modern science and technology, inherits and develops traditional herbal tea with a long history, such as "Journey to the North of Guangdong" and "Jiyang Hall" founded by Cai's ancestors, and develops traditional delicacies, green and healthy food and catering services in mountainous areas. After strict toxicological examination and approval, the secret recipe has been protected by "national intangible cultural heritage" and "Guangdong food cultural heritage" After that, Cai Nengqiang studied for the MBA of Tsinghua University in 2007 and the MBA of Northern Virginia University in 2009. After years of efforts, "Beishangguang" and "Jiyang Hall" have developed into a brand diversified industry with company+base+farmers, scientific research and development, processing and production, chain monopoly, tourism and shopping, business hotels and convenience services.
