Waterproof construction steps

Waterproof construction will be carried out after the completion of the hydropower transformation foundation project. This paper will introduce the steps of waterproof construction in detail.

Building surface treatment

After the completion of the hydropower transformation foundation project, the construction surface should be cleaned and kept flat, and there should be no particulate impurities and water stains, otherwise the waterproof effect will be easily affected.

The joints should be coated with waterproof paint.

Brush a waterproof layer at all indoor joints, such as floor drain joints, joints between pipe roots and the ground, window frame gaps, etc.

Brush waterproof paint for the first time.

Apply the first layer of waterproof coating on the construction surface, pay attention to avoid omission, and measure the thickness of waterproof layer consistently.

Brush waterproof coating for the second time.

After the waterproof layer is completely dried for the first time, the second layer of waterproof coating should be painted, which also needs to be constructed in sequence, but the painting direction should be staggered from the first time to ensure that it is not missed.

Block the sewer

After the waterproof layers on both sides are completely dry, build a low wall with a height of 30cm at the threshold, then block all the drains, and then put 20cm of water indoors and wait for 24 hours. If the water level does not drop significantly, the waterproof construction is qualified. If the water level drops significantly, it is necessary to check the leaking point below the leaking place, and then repair it until the construction is qualified.
