Old poems about festivals (Spring Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, Qingming, Double Ninth Festival)

One, the Spring Festival

"The wife of the Communist Party of China sits and watches the New Year at night"

The Liang Dynasty in the Southern and Northern Dynasties - Xu Junqian

The joyful and passionate life is not over Extremely good, don’t stop drinking when you are rewarded.

I like peaches in the wine, and bayberry in the rice dumplings.

The curtain opens and the wind enters the account, and the candle burns out its charcoal and turns to ashes.

Don’t doubt that your hair and hair are heavy because you are waiting for the dawn.

This is a very tender poem. The poet describes the scene of staying up late with his wife around the fire. "Happy and passionate", the opening chapter is full of emotions. The author's joyful emotions overflow beyond the boundaries of rhetoric. He cares so much about his wife and the time he spends with her.

He wrote about the New Year's Eve conversation between husband and wife. He wrote about the smell of wine and food, and finally settled on the smell of wind blowing into the curtains. Love and affection permeate every bit of the senses. In the details. Companionship is a kind of simple and affectionate love. In traditional Chinese concepts, the best years of the year are always spent with loved ones.

Second, Qingming

"Qingming"

Tang Dynasty - Du Mu

It rains heavily during Qingming, and pedestrians on the road want to die.

May I ask where the restaurant is? The shepherd boy points to Xinghua Village in the distance.

It rains heavily on Qingming Festival, and people traveling far away on the road feel confused and desolate as if their souls have been cut off. I asked the shepherd boy where there was a restaurant, and he pointed to the small Xinghua Village in the distance. This little poem uses beautiful and vivid language to depict a vivid picture of asking for directions in the rain. The enthusiastic guidance of the little shepherd boy naturally made the poet thank him repeatedly; the guise of the hotel in Xinghua Village evoked a lot of warmth in the poet's heart!

Three, Dragon Boat Festival

"Jie Ling Men. Duanyang"

Qing Dynasty - Li Jingshan

Cherry, mulberry and calamus, and a bottle of realgar wine .

There is a yellow paper sticker hanging high outside the door, but it is suspected that the account owner is afraid of the magic talisman.

During the Dragon Boat Festival, I bought cherries, peaches, mulberries, calamus, and realgar wine. And put yellow talisman paper on the door of the house. Note that realgar, calamus, and yellow paper all ward off evil spirits. Even though I posted so many things to ward off evil spirits, I was still worried about creditors coming to my door. This poem shows the real life conditions of poor people, with a bit of bitterness in the humor.

Four, Mid-Autumn Festival

"Thoughts on a Quiet Night"

Tang Dynasty - Li Bai

The moonlight shines brightly in front of the bed, which is suspected to be frost on the ground.

Look up at the bright moon and lower your head to think about your hometown.

The bright moonlight shines on the window paper in front of the bed, as if there is a layer of frost on the ground.

I couldn't help but raise my head and look at the bright moon in the sky outside the window. I couldn't help but lower my head and think about my hometown far away.

On a night with few stars, Li Bai looked up at the bright moon in the sky. Feeling homesick, he wrote this famous poem "Thoughts on a Quiet Night" that has been passed down through the ages and is well-known at home and abroad.

Five, Double Ninth Festival

"September 10th"

Li Bai of the Tang Dynasty

I climbed up yesterday, and I will raise my wine glass again today .

Why is the chrysanthemum so bitter? It suffers from these two double suns.

I just went to Longshan for a banquet yesterday, and today I raised my glass here again. Why did the chrysanthemums suffer so much and were punished by the two Double Ninth Festivals?

This poem was written by Li Bai while climbing Longshan in Dangtu (now Dangtu, Anhui). It was the day after the Double Ninth Festival in the autumn of the first year of Zong Baoying (762) in the Tang Dynasty. The author had already climbed the mountain on the previous day. He visited Longshan once and composed the poem "Drinking at Longshan in Nine Days". This was the second time he visited Longshan for a banquet. Therefore, the author lamented that the chrysanthemums were picked for two consecutive days, recalling that he had been hit hard politically both times when he visited Chang'an.
