How old can you get a room in China?

Legal analysis: There is no age requirement, as long as you have an ID card, you can check into the hotel normally.

1. Minors who are over 16 years old and have obtained their ID cards can register at the hotel and obtain keys or room cards;

2. Minors who are under 16 years old (without their ID cards) Minors with ID cards can also register and make reservations at the hotel with someone else's ID card; however, they cannot obtain the key or room card for the reservation. They need to show their ID card to obtain the key or room card.

Legal basis: "Public Security Administration Punishment Law of the People's Republic of China" Article 56 If hotel staff do not register the name, identity document type and number of accommodation passengers as required, they shall be punished. Or if a guest knowingly brings dangerous substances into the hotel and fails to stop them, a fine of not less than 200 yuan but not more than 500 yuan will be imposed.
