The predecessor of the college is the private Qingdao Commercial Vocational School. In 2002, Qingdao Hotel Management Vocational and Technical College was founded on the basis of Qingdao Business School and Shandong Catering Service Technical School. The college has set up more than 38 higher vocational colleges.
