What is a pretense~?

"Guo" originally refers to curtains and curtains, which is the so-called "windows with silk curtains". In ancient times, hotels used cloth flags to attract customers, and wine flags were also called "covers." Lu Guimeng of the Tang Dynasty wrote in "He Chudong Oupu": "The small crocodile is still covered by the low cover, and the wine dripping with ashes is as fragrant as last year." It was later extended that all signs displayed on the facade of stores to attract customers are collectively referred to as "cover".

The guise originally referred to the cloth curtain, but was later extended to be another name for the wine flag. It mainly indicates the types of goods or different service items operated, which can be called industry standards.
