Development of Tangquan Palace

Like other foreign palaces, Tangquan Palace was abolished during the Qianlong period with the operation of the Qing government and the shift of attention. But it has not become a ruin, because there are magical hot spring water here. From the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China until liberation, local officials and ordinary people have been maintaining Tangquan Palace. After liberation, the government set up medical institutions here to carry out medical activities by using soup spring water to relieve people's illness. In the early 1990s, the county invested 800,000 yuan to build a convalescent building outside the palace, added medical equipment, improved the management system, and received thousands of convalescents every year, making Tangshan Hot Springs more full of vitality.
