Architecture in vaduz
The castle was built 700 years ago and has been expanding since then. It is the symbol of Liechtenstein. The prince's castle consists of several towers, with tight walls and high dispersion. It stands on the cliff with green trees and white clouds under the blue sky, giving people a sense of mystery.
Built in the12nd century, Vaduz Castle is the oldest royal residence and a proud landmark of Liechtenstein people. In A.D. 1699, Prince JohannAdam Adreas purchased the land in Schellenberg and occupied vaduz County in A.D. 17 12. In A.D. 17 19, this land was owned by the Royal Principality of Liechtenstein. Since 1938, the prince's family has been living in Vaduz Castle where the priest boarded.
The oldest part of the castle is the huge main city. Let's go back to the ancient12nd century or earlier13rd century to understand its history. The first generation of castles was handed over to the lords around 1322. Twenty years later, it became a first-class military castle in this area, guarding vaduz. 1499, WERDENBERG-SARGANS of Hartman led his troops to destroy the castle wall with Swiss allies in the Swabia War. After the victory, they left Brandis. Just like their previous tradition, the castle was built by the new ruler Ludwig. Later rulers also followed this tradition. There are many relics that survived the war here. After the reconstruction of later generations, the ruins of the castle are still magnificent and solid, as always. The exposed south and north walls of the castle are 5 meters thick and equipped with cannons, making this castle a powerful barrier to protect vaduz.
Starting from vaduz, there is a winding mountain road leading to the ancient castle, which is a special route for the prince and the royal family to go up and down the mountain. The road sign erected at the entrance of this road reads "tourists stop" in four characters. The castle is the residence of the prince and the royal family and is generally closed to tourists. Visitors to vaduz can only flinch from this "mysterious castle".
2. Liechtenstein Monument: On Wadus Street, there is a monument marked in many languages. Friends from all over the world are welcome to visit it, which is particularly eye-catching and expresses the hospitality of this country.
Living on Vadus Street, the reporter looked around the city and found that Liechtenstein was surrounded by endless snow-capped mountains with beautiful scenery. At close range, the commercial street with only one main road is very clean. It seems that there are more tourists here than locals. Most of the hotels, watch shops, restaurants, post offices and banks in the commercial street are here. In this street, all kinds of statues are a must, including bronze carving, wood carving and stone carving. Their shapes are strange and abstract, giving people a strong sense of visual impact and rich artistic appreciation.
After nearly half an hour's walk, the reporter has come to the edge of the city. I see that most residential buildings in Liechtenstein are located here. European-style buildings with different shapes and quiet paths with few pedestrians seem to add a sweet and warm harmony to this country.
3. Liechtenstein Post Office: Opposite the stamp museum, it is not a multi-storey building, but a neat bungalow with no department, no office and only a big counter. On the pillars in front of the counter and the glass windows on the four walls, all kinds of new stamps are displayed.
Go forward from here, the next two rooms are the rooms for receiving mail, and the other room is for office use. Although the room is not big, everything here is controlled by computer. It is hard to imagine that the post office in such a small principality can sell 7 million stamps every year. The stamp company in the principality has 82,000 customers all over the world. There are tens of thousands of mailing addresses of foreign companies here, which is a "must-enter" place for western philatelists, so it enjoys the reputation of "the country of stamps". Stamps, stamps, here it can be said that stamps seem to be everywhere.
4. vaduz Stamp Museum: The stamps printed by Liechtenstein, a tiny country, are world-famous, which makes stamp collectors fondle admiringly. Vaduz Stamp Museum has the most exquisite stamps in the world. It has been more than half a century since 19 12 Liechtenstein issued the first set of stamps, and there are countless kinds and quantities of stamps issued.
The stamp museum in the pocket country is also "pocket-sized", with only 60 or 70 square meters and only one room. Pushing through the door, there is a writing desk next to the entrance of the museum, with stamp collecting books and periodicals on it. An enlarged copy of a large stamp on the wall, with a face value of 80 Swiss francs and a face value of 1988 Olympic cycling race. The left wall is worth 90 Swiss francs, and it won the gold medal in the design of 1980 International Stamp Expo. The face value is several maple trees, and the trophy was won before the stamp.
In the first row of display cabinets, there are postman's appliances, such as portable lamps, postal parcels, speakers and so on. On the other hand, there are movable type plates and postmarks for printing stamps. On the walls around the museum, from the first set of stamps issued by this country to the stamps issued today, as well as stamps and first day covers issued by more than 0/00 countries and regions in the world, are colorful.
Historically, stamps saved Liechtenstein's economic crisis. It was after World War II that the king took out all his famous paintings, printed stamps and distributed them in large quantities in view of the country's economic depression. Unexpectedly, these stamps are deeply loved by stamp collectors all over the world, so the country has gained a lot of foreign exchange income, the economy has improved, and the king has won the support of the people. Later, the annual income of stamps issued was as high as $6.5438+0.2 million, accounting for 654.38+00% of the total national income.
5. vaduz Sculpture: Liechtenstein, a pocket country in Western Europe, has an area of only 160 square kilometers and a population of 35,000. However, lifelike statues can be seen everywhere here, especially in vaduz, the capital with a population of only about 5,000, where there are hundreds of sculptures.
The woodcarving trio shows the three "artists" of horse, ox and donkey playing wonderful sounds together.
The bronze sculpture King of Africa shows a black continent full of conflicts and wars.
Iron sculpture "Self-portrait": Is man great or small in front of himself?
Vaduz Post Museum, National Art Gallery and National Museum are all well worth visiting.
