What materials are handmade carpets made of?

The handmade carpets I am talking about here are hand-knotted carpets, not hand-gunned carpets. Because handmade gunpunch carpets cannot be considered handmade carpets in the true sense.

Because handmade carpets use hand-knotted weaving technology, the weaving cycle of a carpet takes several months or even years. Therefore, the materials used are often high-quality silk or wool.
