You don’t need too many clothes when traveling to Yunnan. A set of long and short clothes is enough, and a jacket is a must. First stop, Kunming

When traveling independently, you must first arrange food and accommodation. The consumption level in Kunming is not very high, and the prices for food and accommodation must be reasonable. However, as a student, we still adhere to the principle of saving what we can, so after arriving in Kunming, you can arrange your accommodation near Yunnan University (Kunming University of Technology, Yunnan Normal University, and Yunnan Nationalities are also in this area) , the hotels here are mostly opened for nearby college students who cannot return to their dormitories on time, and are extremely cost-effective.

Kunming Railway Station

Method A: Bus No. 64 to University for Nationalities (the boarding stop is not at the train station exit, you need to ask for directions)

Method B: Take bus No. 2 to Jianshe Road (the boarding stop is at the train station exit, but after getting off, you need to ask for directions and walk to Yunnan University for Nationalities, about 2 stops)

Method C: Take a taxi directly to Yunnan University for Nationalities, about 16-18 RMB

After arriving at the main entrance of the University for Nationalities, just ask the students passing by where there are cheap and hygienic hotels nearby. Most of them will enthusiastically recommend them to you. (PS: Most locals in Yunnan are also very warm and simple, so you can feel free to ask for directions in the whole province of Yunnan)

Hotels here are generally ordinary rooms, regardless of the off-season or peak season, and the price is 10-15 per bed. Yuan/day.

If it is still early after you settle down, you can eat nearby. Because most of the nearby shops are opened by students, there is no big rip-off phenomenon. However, you should be cautious when buying fruits nearby. psychological preparation. Official itinerary

Day 1: Stone Forest

The famous geological park is world-famous and worth a visit.

Stone Forest is not in the urban area, so transportation, food and accommodation are troublesome. You can apply for a one-day tour of Stone Forest according to the advertisement posted in front of the train station or in front of the Expo Park the day before (the quoted price is about 100 yuan, if it exceeds that The price will be negotiated (the price quoted includes scenic spot tickets, lunch, and bus fare).

Tricks of the Stone Forest One-Day Tour Travel Agency:

B: When passing through a temple, never draw lots, tell fortunes, burn incense, or worship Buddha inside. (This is also true in other places in Yunnan - except for the Songzanlin Temple in Shangri-La (see below) - it's not that we don't respect gods and Buddhas, but that the gods and Buddhas in these small temples have been defiled by those secular monks and Taoists. . )

C: Do not participate in the so-called entertainment projects with ethnic minorities in the Stone Forest Scenic Area, otherwise the loss will be recorded in the amount of 100 yuan.

D: The travel agency in the scenic area arranges home visits for ethnic minorities. If you are given wine and tea, feel free to drink it. Just remember to tighten your wallet and don’t buy it.

The entrance fee to the Stone Forest Scenic Spot is 140 yuan (70 yuan for students). The travel agency’s quotation is basically unprofitable, so it is understandable that the above tricks exist. Understand these things yourself, and there is nothing they can do if you don’t fall for them. Can't help you. That's it, there's no need to argue with him. If other people in the group look at the rich man, let him be fooled. We are not saviors. After all, the tour guides also have to eat. But the stone forest is still very beautiful.

If you really don’t want to join a group, just take a bus to Kunming Railway Station, ask for directions and take the relevant bus to Shilin County (one-way fare is about 15 yuan).

The next day on the way to Dali

The historical Nanzhao Kingdom and Dali Kingdom were both here, and the base of the Dali Duan clan in "The Eight Parts of the Dragon". However, things have changed and people have changed, and there is not much historical accumulation here. However, the three towers of Chongsheng Temple are still struggling to carry history and refuse to recede.

Just arrange a day and a half to visit Dali.

Transportation:

B: Train: Not counting additional trains during peak season, there are 4 trains from Kunming to Dali every day, including N982, N986, N992 and N996, in addition to N996 The rest are all night trains, but their tickets are almost all booked in advance by travel agencies - look down on China Railway - so ordinary tourists can only buy 996 tickets. If you decide not to stay in Kunming for too long, you can buy them when you arrive in Kunming. Then buy the ticket.

N996 costs 35 yuan for a hard seat (no air conditioning). It departs at 9:02 in the morning and arrives in Dali at 15:40.

The remaining three trains are night trains, all departing in the evening and arriving in the morning. The hard-seat fare is about 45 yuan. However, as mentioned above, there is little hope of purchasing tickets.

C: Take the high-speed bus in front of Kunming Railway Station. The fare to Dali is about 110 yuan, but the price/performance ratio is not high, so you should do what you can.

Dali is a prefecture-level administrative region. The full name is Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture. Our destination is its affiliated Dali City (locally called "Xiaguan"), while the tourist attractions are in the ancient city of Dali on the outskirts of Dali City.

After arriving at Dali Railway Station (the last station in the southwest on the national railway map, the railway to Lijiang is under construction), take bus No. 8 directly in front of the station and get off at "Eryuan Park", the fare is one yuan. (Except for Route 8, all other bus tickets in Dali are 50 cents, so be prepared with change). When you arrive at Eryuan Park, you are already in the ancient city of Dali.

After you get off the bus, there will be many middle-aged women asking you if you want to visit Cangshan Erhai Lake. Remember their phone numbers or activity areas, it will be useful tomorrow .

Accommodation:

Accommodation in Dali is cheap, about 40-45 yuan/day for a standard room and 10-15 yuan/day for a bed in an ordinary room. After getting off the bus at Eryuan Park, ask for directions and walk to the Dali Cinema. The road in front of the cinema is the busiest street in the ancient city. You can stay at a hotel on the roadside at the above price.

If you leave in the morning, it should be around five o'clock in the evening after arranging accommodation in Dali.

PS: It is best not to have dinner in restaurants in the ancient city. The owners of the restaurants are very small-scale farmers and have a bad attitude. If I don't say that the food is not good, I will get angry. However, the barbecue prices here are relatively reasonable, and the grilled fish and shrimps are highly recommended.

After dark, you can hang out in Foreigner Street or go to the bars. Only then will you feel the meaning of coming to Dali.

Back to the hotel before 24:00, the first day in Dali is over.

The third day:

Get up early and have breakfast (it is recommended to go to the second rice noodle shop in the northeast corner of the intersection with your back to the cinema and go right), 2 yuan a bowl, delicious tight).

When you are having breakfast, the middle-aged woman mentioned above will probably ask you if you want to go to Erhai Lake in Cangshan Mountain. Bargain with her on the price. Generally, it is 20-30 yuan per person for sea tour and 50 yuan for Cangshan Cableway. Yuan/person, small ropeway 30 yuan/person (if you go to Cangshan Mountain, it is best to take the big ropeway)

Do not go to the entrance of the attraction to buy tickets by yourself, otherwise it will be much more expensive.

My personal opinion is that you can take a swim in Erhai Lake, but the cruise will stop at 2 scenic spots on the way, and you need to pay for the tickets yourself, including:

Tianjing Pavilion/Guanyin Pavilion: Tickets are 10 yuan, half price for students ( Personally, I think there is no need to stay)

Jinsuo Island: Tickets are 3 yuan. (This island is a small island inhabited by the Bai people. It is full of native Bai people. You can go up there for a walk and have lunch, but be sure to ask about the price before eating. In addition, the Bai aunt on the island will take you to drink three courses of tea. Try it. After the Erhai tour, around noon, you can take bus No. 2 at the pier to go back to the ancient city. , continue to visit Cangshan Mountain in the afternoon.

If you still want to go to Lijiang, you can omit Cangshan and save time to go to Xizhou to see the Yan Family Courtyard (take bus No. 2 at the pier and get off at the Lida intersection - bus No. 2 generally does not Report the station, so say hello to the driver in advance - transfer to the minibus from Xiaguan to "Xizhou", the ticket is 2 yuan/person)

Yan Family Courtyard: Ticket 10 Yuan, half price for students. The Yan Family Courtyard is divided into the new courtyard and the old courtyard. A 10 yuan ticket allows you to visit both courtyards. The layout of the two courtyards is similar. The new courtyard looks good in photos, but if it were real it would still belong to the old courtyard.

Xizhou’s dada is very famous. The authentic ones at the alley entrance to Yan’s old courtyard cost 2 yuan each. If you don’t care about food, you can buy two for dinner.

Not far from the Yan family compound is the Butterfly Spring, but the butterflies are no longer there, leaving only the dry well to accompany the throngs of tourists. Tickets: 20 yuan. For specific routes, you can ask the minibus crew or locals.

Whether it is Cangshan Mountain, Xizhou Houses or Butterfly Spring, it is just a fun place for tourists to watch - spanking the children on a rainy day is also idle - after all, Dali is a stop on the Yunnan trip. ~~~

If you find it too troublesome, you can take a local one-day tour on your second day in Dali, which costs about 120 yuan/person, but you must be cautious again.

After visiting Dali, you can choose to go to Lijiang or go directly to Shangri-La. (If you want to adapt to the plateau all the way, it is recommended to go to Lijiang first)

I personally recommend taking a night sleeper bus directly (you can order it at a private booking point in the ancient city, and I personally recommend the one downstairs at the Golden Flower Hotel at Foreigner Street) The landlady at the ticket booking point was very enthusiastic) We went directly to Shangri-La and arrived the next morning. If you arrange this way, you can not only save one night's time and accommodation costs, but also save the 160 yuan entry fee for Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (see below). In addition, your subsequent itinerary in Lijiang will be more flexible.

If you want to go to Lijiang first, you can book a ticket for the next morning. Ordinary minibus is 47 yuan/person, and luxury express is 79 yuan/person. Arrive in Lijiang four hours later

The third stop is Shangri-La

Shangri-La is originally a place mentioned by an American named Hilton in his novel "Lost Horizon". In order to develop tourism, the people of Yunnan renamed the original Zhongdian County to Shangri-La County after advice from experts, which is affiliated with the Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province. The Shangri-La area we usually indicate when traveling is also very bright, such as Meili Snow Mountain, Haba Snow Mountain, Tiger Leaping Gorge, etc. all belong to this area. The area is not only high in altitude, but also has inconvenient transportation. You must be mentally prepared before coming. Here, I will only post a simplified version of the route guide.

Only two days can be arranged for the scenic spots in Zhongdian County.

The first day

Generally, vehicles will arrive in Zhongdian County before noon. After arriving, you can find a place to stay immediately. We recommend a place called the Fire Brigade Guest House (you can take a taxi). Although the environment is not very hygienic, the beds are passable. In addition, the price is extremely cheap, 10 yuan/person. The most important thing is that there are many chartered cars right in front of the hotel, which is very convenient.

If you arrive in Zhongdian in the morning, you can take a minibus at the bus station (ticket 3-5 yuan) to Napahai (ticket 10 yuan) and return at noon. If you arrive at Zhongdian at noon, you can skip the Napa Sea. There will be many such scenery after that.

In the afternoon, ask for directions and walk to the No. 3 bus stop (ticket: 1 yuan) to the end point, Garden Songtsenling Monastery. Songzanlin Temple is known as the Little Potala Palace and is well worth a visit. (Ticket is 30 yuan, no student tickets)

Songzanlin Monastery is a Tibetan Buddhist temple. Here you will realize what real Buddhist monks are like. They will not travel like the above mentioned The secular monks in the Buddhist temples on the tour routes try their best to make or defraud tourists of their money. All expenses except tickets are voluntary. You can ask the living Buddha to touch your forehead for blessings, or you can ask the young lama to pray for you in the main hall. He will give you a bracelet, and you can give you any money for incense, ranging from a few cents to a few hundred.

The tickets for Songzanlin Temple are the cheapest and the most value for money among all the scenic spots in Yunnan. However, it is possible to evade the ticket. After arriving at the main entrance of the temple, keep walking along the stone road. After walking through an iron gate, you entered the scenic spot. Save the 10 yuan and donate it to the temple or buy a prayer wheel (the minimum price is 25 yuan). If you have a prayer wheel, you will be closer to the Buddha.

The itinerary for the first day in Zhongdian should be loosely arranged. The altitude of Zhongdian is more than 3,000 meters, and altitude sickness is not known.

The next day

The famous attractions in Zhongdian include Pudacuo National Forest Park and Baishui Terrace, both of which are on the road from Zhongdian to Xiahutiao. However, public transportation is inconvenient and you basically need to charter a car. When chartering a car, it is best to gather a few more people, and then tell the driver to go directly to Daju County (by the Jinsha River) instead of returning to Zhongdian after visiting Baishui Terrace. This way, you will find the interesting features of the designed route after you walk through it. Wonderful thing.

The fare for a chartered bus from Zhongdian to Daju County is RMB 500-600 per vehicle.

Eat a full meal in the morning, because you may have to eat lunch and dinner together.

Pudacuo National Forest Park, admission fee is 190, recommended in summer and autumn.

Baishui Terrace: a unique natural wonder formed by erosion. Tickets are 50 yuan, half price with student ID.

In fact, the scenic spots are not worth that much money, but again: now that we are here~~~

There are many restaurants coming down from the Baishuitai Scenic Area. You can go further along the downhill road. I particularly recommend one called The proprietress of the small "flavor restaurant" shop is very down-to-earth, so you can bargain with her for a little price. It’s best to order a plate of Yunnan’s specialty mushrooms, Ji Cong, which can be had in this shop for just over 20 yuan. Hum, if you were in Kunming, it would be five times. After dinner, I picked up two bottles of spring water in her backyard and brought it with me. It was no worse than bottled water.

After eating, get on the bus and head to Daju County. The road is difficult to walk at first, but after all, "infinite scenery lies in the dangerous peaks". On this road, you will pass by Haba Snow Mountain. If you are lucky, you can see the snow on the top of the mountain.

When you go to the Jinsha River, you will see the Tiger Leaping Gorge, and all of this is free.

The chartered car can only be sent to the Jinsha River. After finding a ferry (5-10 yuan per person) to cross the river, it will be late, but you still have to walk a few more steps to the seat of the Daju Township Government. For accommodation nearby, I recommend a hotel called Snowflake Inn. It's clean, and the landlady is also friendly. She can provide meals and customize them according to the situation.

On the third day

You can choose to walk the Tiger Leaping Gorge - a dream for many people. Go upstream from Xiahutiao and pass through the canyon between Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Haba Snow Mountain to reach Lijiang. But you have to be fully prepared and it takes about two days. Tiger Leaping Gorge is also charging tickets, but you can escape. This kind of garbage ticket does not escape our superior socialist system. Method: Ask the locals

If you don’t have the heart to hike Tiger Leaping, then book a bus ticket to Lijiang tomorrow at the hotel; 63 yuan from Daju to Maoniuping (middle cableway), 40 yuan to Yunshanping Yuan, 35 Yuan to Lijiang City.

The most important thing is that if you are lucky and no one finds it, you will unknowingly save the 160 yuan (80 yuan to enter the mountain) that you have to pay to enter the snow mountain from Lijiang. We will continue to despise Lijiang’s unreasonable entrance fees, 80 yuan ancient city maintenance fee) and super unreasonable mountain entry fees - only then will you realize how worth the money you spent on chartering the car yesterday.

Fourth stop Lijiang

Lijiang’s scenery is indeed beautiful, but Lijiang’s tourism management is as bad as its scenery nationwide, ranking first and second best.

The first day

If you come from Daju, have a full meal before getting on the bus, and then get off directly at Maoniuping and take the middle cableway to see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (the cableway costs 60 yuan for a two-way trip) Yuan, no student ticket), if you are lucky, you can see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain when there is no fog. There are only three ropeways on the snow mountain, namely the Maoniuping middle ropeway mentioned above, the Yunshanping small ropeway (40 yuan) at the next stop of the shuttle bus, and the newly developed large ropeway ( 160 yuan) The first two ropeways can see the snow-capped mountains from a distance, while the latter can directly take tourists to the snow-covered areas of the snow-capped mountains. But relatively speaking, the middle ropeway in Maoniuping is relatively cost-effective. For tourists from the north, it is not worth spending 160 yuan to see the snow. In addition, I personally think that the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is a place that can only be viewed from a distance but not played with. The development of the large ropeway is purely a group of idiot officials who waste everything for vested interests. This kind of direct contact between humans and the snow mountain is undeniably damaging to the snow mountain. And metaphorical. Once again, I despise the top tourism management in Lijiang area.

PS: No matter which ropeway you take, you must wear a coat, it is relatively cold on the mountain.

You can take bus No. 7 from the ropeway (note that you have to take a minibus instead of a minivan, although they are both No. 7). The ticket collection rules are: Maoniuping-Yunshanping (Baishui River)-Lijiang City, each two adjacent stops charges 5 yuan/person.

The Baishui River is worth a visit. Although it is artificial, it is also very beautiful. No charge.

Newly developed scenic spots such as Ganhaizi, Yushui Village, and Dongba Valley are newly developed on the snow mountain. Personally, I think they are of little significance, especially the Dongba Valley, which is just a place to eat, which is simply vulgar. In addition, don’t trust any tour guides and businessmen easily on the snow-capped mountains. Remember.

If you enter the Snow Mountain from Lijiang City, the route is the same as above except that you pay a 160 yuan entrance fee and travel in the opposite direction. But go to the snow-capped mountains early rather than late, otherwise you may have to wait in line for a long time to take the ropeway.

The Old Town of Lijiang is close to the New Town. You must stay in the Old Town. There are many inns in the Old Town, but there are not many inns with good value for money and good reputation. I personally recommend it to two freshly graduated college students, purely for fun and fun. I stayed at an inn run by friends, the Free Life Inn. I stayed there for a few days and drank with them every day. I got drunk for a few days. Shitou and Yufei were both very talkative and fun people. I was also there before going to Lijiang. Opposite the big waterwheel in the front of the ancient city, there is a facade without a signboard. The food sold inside is just like a college cafeteria, and it is pretty good. Opposite the ancient city parking lot, there is a Kunming "Jiang's Bridge Xiangyuan Cross-Bridge Rice Noodles" chain store. The taste is good. Friends from out of town can try it, but each item is 2 yuan more expensive than in Kunming (people in Kunming eat the ones that cost 8 yuan a set). Just plant it and try it, there is no need to eat the 12 yuan set). The legendary Lijiang Baba is very famous, but they sell for 6 yuan each in the ancient city, and whoever buys it is the winner~~~~~ However, when walking on the more remote streets in the ancient city, you may encounter the kind of small stalls set up by yourself. You can listen to Naxi ancient music in the evening, but it must be hosted by Xuanke. Although some people in Yunnan academic circles believe that it is not real Naxi music, due to its great fame, the concert tickets for the elderly are still rising: A ticket is 160 yuan, a B ticket is 140 yuan, and a C ticket is 120 yuan. The next day

There are no must-visit attractions in the morning. You can go to the legendary Black Dragon Pool Park. The ticket is 60 yuan, half price for students - you might as well grab it. However, I heard that tickets are free before 7 o'clock in the morning, or if you show your Guwei ticket, you can get free of charge. I haven't tried it myself - for a normal person who has been to Pudacuo National Forest Park and seen the entire snow-capped mountains, what is the meaning of going to that so-called "park".

The ticket price for the Wangu Tower, which overlooks the panoramic view of the ancient city, is 15 yuan, but this is pure nonsense.

It is necessary to visit the "Mufu" in the afternoon. The ticket is 35 yuan, and the student voucher is 20 yuan for one piece and 35 yuan for two pieces. Although the ticket price is close to that of the Forbidden City in Beijing during the off-season, it can be regarded as the most well-managed tourist attraction in the entire western Yunnan region. There is a free explanation at the door, which is quite interesting. Just be careful: just like in Stone Forest, don’t follow him to buy wine, tea, draw lots and worship Buddha.

The third day

If the car fails during the day, it is best to get up early and leave early, so that you can arrive. To go to Shuhe Ancient Town, you can rent a bicycle in the ancient town or take a van. But if you want to take a minivan, don’t take the special line at the gate of the ancient city. Instead, ask for directions and walk to the Likelon Supermarket on “Shangri-La Avenue” in the new city and take a minibus from “Longquan” (ticket: 2 yuan). Get off the car at the roundabout in front of Shuhe Town, then turn west onto the dirt road and walk into Shuhe, so you can avoid the 30 yuan entrance fee to the ancient town.

There are several ways to return to your hometown from Lijiang:

A: Fly directly from Lijiang Airport back to your city

B: Go back to Kunming from Lijiang first

Summary:

The route mentioned in this article, excluding the toll from the departure point to Yunnan, costs about 1,300 yuan per person, and basically covers most of the scenic spots on this route. . But food and accommodation may be slightly lacking. The whole journey takes about 10 days.
