Liu Dong New District (hereinafter referred to as the New District) is located in the east of Liujiang in Sanmenjiang Forest Park, Liuzhou City, bordering the Ring Expressway and Guiliu Expressway in the north, mainly including Gutingshan and Yanghe areas in the south of Sanmenjiang Bridge, and Guantang and Luo Rong areas in the north. The total planned control area is 103. 1 km2.

The scale of Liu Dong New District

1. Land scale: the planned land area of this area is 13 1.5 square kilometers, of which the urban construction land area is 84. 1 square kilometers.

2. Population size: the planned population of Liu Dong New District in 2020 is 520,000, and the total population of Liu Dong New District at the end of the planning period in 2050 is 720,000. Planning structure.

The area follows the planning concept of strengthening the center, axial extension and group development, and adopts the nuclear axis group planning structure. Liu Dong New District will form a functional structural layout of "one axis, one belt, two districts and multiple cores", with Guantang District as the main body and Riverside Zone as the springboard to construct a three-way construction pattern of the new district.

Classification by function

Seven Districts of New District: According to the land scale and location characteristics of Liu Dong New District, the whole new district is divided into seven functional areas, each of which contains corresponding leading functions.

1. Guantang core construction area: The main internal functional areas include commercial service area, higher education research and development area, industrial production area and living area. Guantang core construction area is the comprehensive functional city center of Liu Dong New District in the future, including administration, commerce, office, culture and entertainment. R&D Higher Education Zone is located in the west of this area. Relying on the setting of Liu Dong Avenue, we will actively introduce well-known universities at home and abroad to set up branches, research institutes and other branches, build a closely integrated higher education park in Industry-University-Research, and become a regional base for transforming scientific and technological achievements.

2. Riverside Living Area: Use the natural ecological environment on the east bank of Liujiang River to develop a green, ecological and noble residential community and serve the whole Riverside Leisure Resort in Liuzhou.

3. Logistics Park: It includes the storage, transportation, processing and wholesale of goods, and has corresponding residential and industrial functions.

4. Luo Rong Construction Area: Relying on the existing development foundation of Luorong Town, develop industry and corresponding residential and supporting facilities to form a relatively perfect functional area.

5. Exhibition service area: build industrial exhibition hall and its supporting functions, develop hotels, conferences, exhibitions, entertainment and leisure facilities, and form a center with comprehensive foreign service functions.

6. Gutingshan-Yanghe Comprehensive Service Area: It is the sub-center in the south of Liu Dong New District, the gateway and window for the image display of the eastern part of the city in the future, and has the functions of residence, commerce, office, culture and sports.

7. Yanghe Industrial Zone: Relying on the layout of industrial land on both sides of expressway, focusing on machinery industries such as automobile industry, construction machinery and general machinery, it supports the development of high-tech industries such as electromechanical integration, biopharmaceuticals, environmental protection and electronic information, and provides related service industries.

In order to promote the development of Liuzhou into a mega-city, a new urban development pattern of "one heart and two cities" will be constructed. On June 5438+ 10, 2007, Liuzhou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government formally established Liu Dong New District, Liu Dong New District Working Committee and Liu Dong New District Management Committee.
