The Hong Kong and Macao Pass, commonly known as the Two-way Permit, is a travel document issued by People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Exit-Entry Administration of the Ministry of Public Security of China to mainland residents in China for private travel, visiting relatives, business, training, employment, study abroad and other non-official activities. Hong Kong and Macao Pass is a valid identity document, which can be used to stay in hotels. The valid identity documents that China citizens can register in the hotel include: People's Republic of China (PRC) household registration book, resident identity card, temporary resident identity card, passport, seaman's card, passport of the People's Republic of China to and from Hong Kong and Macao, and passport of People's Republic of China (PRC) to and from Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Region on business; Officer's card, police officer's card, civilian cadre's card, soldier's card and student's card issued by China People's Liberation Army and Chinese People's Armed Police Force; Hong Kong and Macao residents travel to and from the Mainland; Travel Permit for mainland travel permit for taiwan residents and People's Republic of China.

Hong Kong and Macao Pass Application Conditions

Mainland residents can apply for travel permits to and from Hong Kong and Macao respectively according to their needs. Mainland residents who apply for travel permits and endorsements to and from Hong Kong and Macao at the same time, or apply for endorsements separately with valid travel permits to and from Hong Kong and Macao, must meet the corresponding conditions according to different reasons:
