Brief introduction of Guangxi Gymnasium

Guangxi Gymnasium, also known as Jiangnan Gymnasium, is located on the Avenue of Stars where industry and commerce, tourism, catering, culture and entertainment are relatively concentrated in Nanning, with superior geographical environment. Nanning Theatre is in front, Xiyuan Hotel is on the left and Binjiang Park is on the right. The surrounding environment is beautiful, surrounded by flowers and trees, shaded by the sun and covered with green grass. The gymnasium has a building area of10.2 million square meters, with magnificent appearance, spacious indoor space, natural lighting, good ventilation and excellent artificial lighting. The design of Guangxi Gymnasium fully considers the hot climate in Nanning, and adopts an open architectural form, which breaks the closed architectural form of air conditioning equipment and is conducive to natural ventilation. The orientation, plane and three-dimensional layout of the main building are conducive to natural ventilation and cooling. High-power central air conditioning system can meet the functional requirements of basketball, volleyball, handball, badminton, table tennis and weightlifting, wrestling, gymnastics, dance, large, medium and small gatherings, cultural performances, commodity exhibitions and so on. It is an advanced venue integrating fitness, culture, entertainment and comprehensive utilization, with 5,502 seats and a square area of about 25,000 square meters. Since the completion of 1965, Guangxi Gymnasium has undertaken various international and domestic large-scale sports competitions, cultural performances and major political gatherings held by autonomous regions and countries.
