Can mango trees be planted indoors in the north?

1. Experience at home and abroad shows that the weather in the north is not suitable. Mango is a subtropical plant, with an annual average temperature of 2 1-27℃ and a maximum average temperature of 12℃ in Leng Yue without frost. The annual rainfall is not less than 1300mm, or it is dry but has irrigation conditions, and there is no low temperature and rainy weather in winter and spring, and the weather is fine; The soil layer is deep, fertile, well drained, slightly acidic or neutral, which is the most ideal environment for developing mango commodity production. If forced to plant in the north, it will take a lot of efforts to create the corresponding environment, and even if the tree survives, its fruit is likely to be unsatisfactory.

1, the optimum growth temperature is 25-30℃, the growth is slow below 20℃, the leaves and inflorescences stop growing below 10℃, and the nearly mature fruits suffer from chilling injury. Seedlings below 3℃ suffer, and those below 0℃ suffer seriously.

2. Moisture and Humidity Mango needs sufficient moisture for branch growth, flowering and fruit development. However, continuous rainfall, heavy fog or high air humidity during flowering and new shoot growth are prone to diseases, which affect pollination and cause dead leaves, flowers and fruits. Rainy fruit development can easily induce soot disease and anthracnose, affect the appearance of fruit, reduce quality, delay ripening, and the fruit is not resistant to storage and transportation after harvest.

3. Light mango is an active tree species. If the light is sufficient, it will blossom and bear many fruits, with beautiful appearance, high sugar content, good quality and storage and transportation resistance. Especially in the case of insufficient light, the red awn is bright or not displayed.

4. For varieties with large leaves and dense branches and leaves, strong winds of level 6 will cause fruit dropping and twisted branches, while strong winds of level 8 or above will cause a large number of fallen leaves and broken branches. Therefore, it is necessary to build shelter forests to grow mangoes in Hainan.

5. Soil and altitude Mango is not harsh on soil, and mango can be planted in areas below 600 meters in this province. However, loam or sandy loam with deep soil layer, underground water level below 3 meters, good drainage and slight acidity is better.

6. Four seasons management technology of mango in Taiwan Province.

① Spring management: The most suitable soil acid value for mango is about 6.5. If it is acidic, lime should be applied to increase the pH value. Application time, before flowering and fruit ripening in June. Before mango blossoms, nitrogen-free, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers should be selected for 1-3 foliar fertilization. In order to prevent boron deficiency, CaCl2 (calcium chloride) can be sprayed 500 times and boric acid can be mixed 200 times. In the case of drought, weeds should be cut and covered under the canopy. From flowering to fruit hypertrophy, it is the period when water is most needed, so irrigation should be done in time. Near the flowering stage, the useless branches should be removed, leaving only 1-2 branches. After flowering, it is advisable to cut off the unfruitful branches at 3- 10 cm below the node, so as to cultivate the flowering and fruiting branches in the next year. For plants with early flowering and early fruiting, fruit thinning should be carried out. After fruit thinning, foliar fertilization and irrigation should be coordinated.

② Summer management: Usually, chemical fertilizer is applied immediately after physiological fruit dropping to promote the hypertrophy of young fruits and the growth of some spring shoots (non-fruiting branches). The second topdressing is generally applied at the point after harvest, and irrigation should be carried out after fertilization in arid areas. When the fruit grows to the size of pigeon eggs, spray it once and bag it. The color of fruit is greatly influenced by sunlight and carbohydrates. If the branches are too dense, they can be pruned 30 days before harvesting to promote the ruddy fruit. During the period of fruit hypertrophy, attention should be paid to irrigation and good drainage system to effectively improve the sweetness of fruit.

(3) Autumn management: high-yield orchards, pay attention to dwarfing and pruning. Alternate spacing plants can be dwarfed and regenerated, and should be sawed off about 40 cm above the bifurcation, and the height is about 60- 100 cm above the ground, or sawed off at the bifurcation above the transverse branches.

④ Winter management: Strengthen orchard management, reduce the damage of fruit trees and adjust flowering period.
